Handley Cellars remains a small, family-owned and operated winery nestled in the rolling hills of Anderson Valley. Founded in 1982 by Winemaker Milla Handley, our quality and commitment to excellence starts with our certified organic Estate Vineyards located at the deep end of the valley. We are one of the very first wineries to be established in this quaint, less traveled and highly regarded wine region. Handley cultivates Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer through organic farming methods. Our other offerings include dry Alsatian-style white wines and Rosé, along with a selection of both light and full-bodied red wines, such as Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Sirah. At Handley, there is truly something to satisfy every palate! We are situated just a breathtaking 25-minute drive from the Pacific Coast, winding through majestic old-growth redwoods and picturesque rolling hills of vineyards. True to our roots as a small winery, it is not uncommon to see our winemaker, cellar team and family ownership in the tasting room hosting guests. We invite you to experience this rare gem in Anderson Valley. Tastings are hosted on our beautiful, tranquil and tree shaded courtyard or our folk art filled tasting room. Reservations are highly recommended.

“What a fantastic spot! The wine was pretty good, but honestly, it was the views and overall experience that blew me away! The staff are quite friendly and knowledgeable about the wines that they sell. Highly recommend! FYI: they do not sell food/snacks, so come prepared!”

“We really enjoyed our stop at the Handley Cellars. The tasting was free and with a very knowledgeable and courteous staff. They made us feel right at home while we sampled their variety of selections. We purchased several bottles and came back when our vacation was ending to get some more! “I’m giving this 4 stars because I know they can be a 5 if the service was better. The first time my husband and I went, the tasting room manager was attentive and full of stories about the vineyard and wine. He offered ones off the tasting menu and really made us feel like a part of the story. Since then (2019), the service has been mediocre at best which is really unfortunate because the wine is spectacular. To us, the relational component makes a difference in what we buy.”
