Two people from different cultures, united by a love for the land and a belief that wine tells the story, began one of the most iconic wineries in Washington State. On the sun-drenched slopes of Red Mountain, the Hedges Family founded not just a place to grow wine, but a place to establish roots. Blending old-world traditions with new-world vision, they built a wine estate grounded in authenticity, respect for nature, and the spirit of home. Each bottle of wine, crafted with intention, nurtured by family, and inspired by the beauty of the land, reflects this journey. We are excited to welcome you to our Organic and Biodynamic vineyard on Red Mountain. Come taste wines crafted from organic grapes, with no chemical additives or added sugars. Our wines are real, clean and are a true reflection of the vineyard. Get ready to sip, swirl, and savor the moment among friends and family on our beautiful patio or in our French inspired Chateau Tasting Room.
“Eastern Washington’s Hidden Gem! Looking to escape the pollution/hustlebustle of the city? Look no further than Hedges Winery! Nestled between the Horse Heaven Hills and right below Red Mountain, you will discover a huge Villa made for royalty! Blown away by the ambiance amongst the trees, the birds thrive here, and the peacefulness can only be compared to a spa day✨ Bring your girlfriends, family, mom AND dad! I thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fire on a snow day and conversing with the friendly, knowledgeable employees! Just saw on Instagram they have yoga classes in the cellar! Absolutely love! #HiddenGems #HedgesWinery #MountainWineLiving #HighestViewInEasternWa #EnjoyWhereYouLive #GoOutside #BiodynamicWinery #OrganicOnly”
“If you’re looking for a winery experience that feels like you’ve stepped straight out of Washington and into a French countryside escape, Hedges is the one. The entire place has this “European chateau” vibe that’s impossible to fake — from the architecture to the art to the view over the vineyard rows. Even the drive up feels like you’re heading somewhere special. I added a note to our reservation asking for a spot by the fireplace and mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. Not only did they honor it, they nailed it. The chairs were warm, comfortable, and the whole room felt cozy in that old-world way — fire crackling, candles glowing, and the kind of ambiance that makes you want to slow down and savor everything. The wines were bold and delicious, especially the reds. You can tell they take their craft seriously. They even brought out a little birthday treat, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the moment feel even more personal. We also ordered the cheese plate and honestly, it was perfect. Three different cheeses, a mix of crackers, olives, tiny pickles, and what I’m pretty sure was apricot jam — everything balanced each other beautifully. Paired with the wine, it felt like the world outside just… paused for a bit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful without hovering. They made sure we had everything we needed and explained the wines clearly, but still let us relax, enjoy, and take in the atmosphere. If you want a place that transports you, even just for an hour or two, Hedges is absolutely worth the visit. It’s one of those wineries where you don’t just taste the wine — you feel the entire experience.”
“I would probably stay a club member just for the customer service, even if the wine wasn’t good! That said, thank goodness the wine is delicious! Hedges is by far our favorite Washington winery for so many reasons…Amazing wine that, in my opinion is undervalued by the winery (shh…don’t tell them), second to none customer service, beautiful grounds (we visited once, about 10 years ago), I’m sure I could say great events but we live in Texas so I can’t speak first hand but I’m betting they’re awesome! Anyway, if you haven’t tried their wine, do it now! You won’t be disappointed. Cheers”
“Amazing food! We stopped in for wine tasting and their Friday night pizza. The staff is so amazing. And the food was beyond delicious. This pizza was like no other! Chef Daunte and sous chef Josh came out and explained their seasonal menu, and gave great suggestions. Kim our server was so personable and patient with us as we lingered while finishing our tastings! Can’t wait to come back for brunch!! One of my favorite hidden little gems in the Tricities!”
“The building and grounds are absolutely stunning. The wine was good but the experience was very disappointing. The staff, although friendly, overall felt rushed and more importantly failed to market or explain any of their wines. For example, I was given their “LHC”. No explanation or story for the wine at all. Also wine tastings are only complimentary if you become members of their wine club. Just ridiculous. No matter how many bottles I buy, it’s insane to not just waive the $20 pp fee. I was willing to buy some bottles but this knowledge made me just want to leave and never visit again”
