“I have visited almost 50 wineries in the Okanagan and decided to try five wineries here in Niagara. This was the worst wine tasting experience I have ever had. The tasting was 3 ice wines for $30. I was asked to pay prior to the tasting. That has never happened before. As soon as I sat down, I was never acknowledged except for being brought over three glasses and the server immediately walked away. She spoke so quickly telling me which glass was which. Nobody came over to talk about the wine. I wasn't even asked basic questions like where I was from or how my day was. They didn't even ask how the wine was. It just felt like they only wanted my money from the moment I walked in and they wanted me to leave as soon as possible. I have told many of my friends and family about this experience. And they weren't even busy. There was always at least one staff member doing nothing at the counter. Walking around outside reading the signs and posing for pictures was the only positive part of the experience. P.S. This is the first time I never tipped at a winery.”
