“Manager was awesome! Made sure we were informed of so much. Can't tell you how happy I was to see the amouge paid to Mort's deli with the Pastrami samich was fantastic! Can't wait to be back!”
“What an amazing dinner experience! We say experience, because from the wait staff, to the food, to the other guests, to the dessert and French press coffee to finish the fun! We had a great chopped salad, chicken and hamburger sliders, and the Parmesan truffle fries - to die for. Dessert was The Better than Sex cake, or if kids are around, Joe's Birthday cake. Ha! We ran into friends, made friends with the staff and other guests, and finished saying this will be our new place. We had an awesome waiter, Sam, he was fun and funny, sweet, and on top of his skillz, and even reintroduced me to his team mate, Brailyn, whom I knew as a kiddo. She recognized me! So fun! Thx to a well oiled staff and great chefs! One more thing- the decor was stunning and inviting and great bluesy music for the mood.”
“If you have the opportunity to sit at the bar when Jamie is working, you are in for a treat. Friendly, informative, and great service. We felt well taken care of. He noticed that I had a card and asked if we were celebrating something (my birthday). The Italian Donuts made a surprise appearance at the end of our meal. I would rate -.5 stars if I could, because the Cask Prosecco is room temperature. If it were chilled or even cold, it would be so much better. But after trying it on two separate visits, it was the same. Also, on my second visit, the jasmine rice was soaked with the juice from my duck breast, so I couldn't eat half of it. The pork belly slider was tiny for $9, especially compared to the large fried chicken slider that is $10 and outsizes the bun on all sides. Skip Shirley's Naughty Cousin drink; it was underwhelming. I would have rather had a regular Shirley Temple. Make sure to make a reservation, as seating at the bar is limited, and the single community table in the bar is a tight squeeze. Overall, the bar area is fairly loud, so expect your conversation to compete with the noise.”
“First timers here for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Excellent scratch-made food and coctails in a place that reminds me of a larger speakeasy. Onion rings are huge, smoked whole wings, pork shank, brocolini. Unique menu and has seasonal menu as well. You typically don't see vieux carre on cocktail list at other places but they have here! Fine dinnerware like you're eating at grandmas. Victor, the owner, came by to chat to make sure everything was well!”
“The service was good, I wish my waitress would have checked in as much as she did with all the other tables around me. The food was fine; there wasn’t much flavor/seasoning to taste on the Norwegian Salmon (served GF as seared with jasmine white rice), the Balsamic Brussel Sprouts were lukewarm and had a strong taste of balsamic reduction, the pancetta was cooked well. I mixed my Seared salmon served with jasmine white rice and the Balsamic Brussel Sprouts because the brussel sprouts were barely warm when I got them but the salmon and rice was hot and steamy so I was able to enjoy the meal, wouldn’t have otherwise). The wine was tasty and paired okay with the seared salmon with jasmine white rice. The Mango Ube Panna Cotta (served with coconut cream and fig dusting.) was the best part of my visit in terms of flavor and execution. The atmosphere was loud because of the music level (good taste of music, blues and soulful vibes), the waitress and I struggled to hear each other and so did someone who called me wondering if I was with a group of people due to the noise levels. PSA: My last video on this review captures the noise level, you may want to turn down your volume. ++ the waitress was nice, we had a good conversation as I was paying for order. I’d give this place another try; it’s convenient to be located in Eagan and had a nice classic/old school yet modern vibe).”
