“Wonderful! Exquisite! Best sushi in town! All the food was incredibly tasty. We tried their special as part of the dinner, but I didn't remember the name. It was in a large flat dish and came with a yellow sauce. The main entrees were delicious. No complaints from us! Our waitress was awesome! Noemi, thank you for the wonderful service and the lovely smile! It made us feel very welcome.”
“Fantastic food, excellent service and great atmosphere. We tried a variety of items including the spicy pisco cocktail, ceviche, arroz chaufa, yucca, flan and seasoned beef. Everything was amazing. The meat in particular was tender and the seafood didn't have that fishy smell. The sauce that went with the yucca was unlike any other I've had in the Twin Cities. I absolutely loved how the waitress described the history of the name of the store and the different fusion dishes. Presentation was top notch. You knew everything was going to taste good, just by the effort they put into making it look appetizing. Good location in Hopkins, right on Main Street with plenty of parking nearby.”
“Everything was spectacular! The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful with suggestions of what to order. The sushi was fresh and we had the most generous portions of nigiri. My favorite bites were the Causa Nikkei and ceviche topped with calamari. I still think about the Pisco sours, the most tasty and unique drinks! We had the Peruvian pudding for dessert and it was perfectly velvety and smooth without being too decadent. Definitely will be going again!”
“Decided to try this place out with a group of friends. This place is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant, which is actually based off the large Japanese immigrant population that migrated to Peru and developed its own unique dishes. We sampled a variety of dishes including the tuna sashimi, yellowtail collar, as well as the Aji de Gallina. The sashimi was incredibly fresh. It was honestly at the level of the popular sushi restaurants like Billy sushi. Every dish was seasoned to perfection, and was well balanced with good portions. They also had a good selection of drinks varying from a wide sake selection, to the Peruvian national cocktails called pisco sours. Definitely a unique experience that is worth the visit.”
“We visited for my husband’s birthday and the experience did not disappoint. The food was top notch, the service was so attentive and kind, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I didn’t get photos of our Pisco Sours but they were soooo good too. Ranking of the food we ordered: 1. Ceviche - still drooling over this one. So bright and citrusy, bursting with flavor. Well balanced in textures. My husband drank the juice off the plate if that tells you anything about how delicious it was. 2. Bluefin Tuna Tiradito - I could’ve eaten 3 platefuls of this. The sauce it was in was delicious and the tuna was so tender and melted in our mouths. I need it again and again please. 3. Mancora Roll - another hard hitter with flavor and the fish was soooo good together. It worked so well and I would absolutely order it again. 4. Chutoro Nigiri - love a fatty fish that melts in your mouth - not fishy at all. I wished it had some sort of small garnish to accentuate the flavor further but that’s it. 5. Escolar Nigiri - same notes as the Chutoro on the garnishes but very clean finish. We used some of the ponzu sauce from the Yellowtail Cheek dish to dip it in and that gave it some zing. 6. Yellowtail Cheek - it was cooked very well but sadly lacked flavor. Desperately needed some salt/seasoning on the fish itself. It was still tasty but probably the least likely dish for us to order again. Had the best time here and will definitely be back. Might bring some friends with us so we can sample even more of the menu together! Definitely recommend this spot :)”
