“A booked reservation made for quick seating. The traditional breakfast is what I ordered and thought it would be good. It was indeed a great breakfast. The thick cut slices of bacon and the Greek fried smashed potatoes were mouth watering. Every bite of the potatoes were crunchy and perfectly crisp. The blueberry compote jelly with the sourdough bread was a great sweet ending to the savory breakfast.”
“As a restaurant GM and consultant, I rarely make it through a meal without mentally red-lining something. It’s an occupational hazard most people in the industry will understand. So when I say this morning was a standout experience, I mean it. I’ve had mixed experiences at Tom Douglas restaurants over the years, but Lola delivered across the board. Everything felt considered and well executed. The eggs Benedict was dialed in, the kind of dish that reflects real attention to fundamentals. The shakshouka was balanced and satisfying. The donuts were a highlight, both in flavor and presentation. My mocha was excellent, the Bloody Mary solid, and my partner hasn’t stopped talking about the smashed breakfast potatoes. Well done, Lola. We’ll be back, and we’ll be sending people your way.”
“Fabulous eggs Benny, huge portions. Convenient location and easy reservation process for staying in the hotel upstairs. They get busy on the weekend, like most Seattle spots, so reservations were helpful. The donuts were also quite fun, but the vanilla marscapone stole the show. I'd skip the sausage, I found it oddly too sweet.”
“Service was great. Food was delicious overall, and atmosphere is pretty warm and cozy. I came for a dinner here with family. Shoutout to the hostess and server who took care of us tonight. Loved the pita, spanakopita, and side of greek pasta. Lamb kebabs were a bit dry, side of potatoes were also dry and too thick to enjoy, and serving sizes are a bit small. We got the coconut cream and apple fig dessert they were pretty safe and good. Fries were okay nothing special. Overall this is a good place to hit for dinner if you are in the area.”
“** HAIRS IN FOOD AND DRINK** This was such a mixed experience. As we first sat down and ordered our drinks my friend ordered a mocha latte and noticed a hair in her beverage. A man in a blue checkered shirt was EXTREMELY rude when she was reporting the hair in her drink. He snatched the cup to take it back and make her a new one but told her very rudely “I don’t need to see it” which is crazy… because maybe if we are reporting contaminated food you should want to see it. When we finally received our food ANOTHER hair was found on my sausage. I ordered the brown pancakes. I also reported it as this was a longer hair which had visible signs of having been cooked with the sausage. I placed it on another dish and gave it to the server who did offer to bring me another sausage but… i didn’t want one because who knows if they are just going to remove it and replate the sausage. They denied giving us a discount. I paid for the wrong ticket (servers fault) and after I asked for them to refund me they were wanting me to just pay the additional amount. He asked me for a tip. Which I said no thank you because of the hairs we had found. The nice hostess which she voided the wrong tab paid did give us the discount. I truly appreciated her because the server and the man in the blue checkered shirt were rude and chaotic.”
