“We took our daughter to Mahle House Restaurant for her birthday and arrived for the 5 PM seating on a Wednesday. It’s become a bit of a tradition for us — we’ve been coming here for years — and somehow this year was even better than the last. Their Adventurous Wednesday experience is always a highlight. The chef’s choice five-course dinner is such a fun concept. Each course comes with different dishes for the table, and the staff encourages everyone to share and trade so you get to taste a wide variety of flavours. It really does feel like a little culinary adventure. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. For $80 per person, the quality and creativity make it a fantastic value for such a unique dining experience. If you’re open to trying new things and want a memorable night out, I highly recommend Adventurous Wednesday. It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion — and it made my daughter’s birthday a great one.”

The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and every dish was beautifully crafted, unique, and absolutely delicious. I was surprised by how full I felt — the value was truly amazing. They even added a candle to my dessert and wished me a happy birthday, which made the evening extra special. The staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful throughout. “Food was tasty and pretty. Love they had locally sourced meats. Porcupine shrimp were a unique treat. Servers were knowledgeable, attentive, personable. The gardens around the restaurant were lovely, inside the converted character home was warm and inviting, outside could use a paint it seems. They are nailing their philosophy: “serve flavourful, unique food in a welcoming environment with relaxed, professional service.” Four stars not five - the drink menu was disappointing. Limited and lack of local wines by the glass, bar spirits were generic. There are so many amazing Vancouver Island vineyards, distilleries and breweries - why not highlight and support them as they try to do with the food sourcing.”
