“This is one of the top 5 restaurant views in North America. Sometimes restaurants with amazing views scrimp on the food or service. Not this place. Excellent food + outstanding service. Top notch all around. The steak doesn't automatically come with potatoes. Definitely order that as a side, and get the steak butter + onions. I recommend timing your reservation around sunset so you can enjoy both the daylight view and the view of the city lights at night.”

“I can't say enough good things about our dinner at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto. Every single thing that we ordered exceeded our expectations - the seafood tower, surf & turf, crab cakes, halibut, brussels sprouts, and baby yukons - were all delicious. Also, our server, Blake, was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive...he truly went above and beyond. Note that even with a reservation, window seating is first come, first serve. The hostess told us we could sit near a window if we waited a few minutes, which we gladly did! Definitely recommend if you're looking for good seafood with a view!”

“Monterey Bay was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The views alone are worth the visit—completely breathtaking, especially during dinner hours. I started with the oysters, and they were fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the crab cake with shrimp, scallops, and lobster tails—everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. And I can’t forget the grilled cheese dessert… it was unique and surprisingly delicious, a perfect way to end the meal. Dining solo can sometimes feel a little awkward, but the service here completely changed that experience for me. My server was attentive, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I also arrived early, and the host was amazing—she kindly directed me to the lounge while I waited, which set the tone for a great evening. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all top-tier. I would definitely come back.”
