“Beautiful views, exceptional service and good food! My only two knocks were that the lobster bisque was not very warm and did not have much lobster and the “Summer Sangria” was giving major fall (had apples and cinnamon) vibes. Our family absolutely loved all of the appetizers we had and the desserts! Steaks were all delicious!”

“Took my Friend here for her birthday, this was our second visit and just as before the service was exceptional! The oysters were fresh and shucked properly , the caviar was delicious and everything that came out was pure delight. The waitress was a sweetheart and very accommodating. Unfortunately we got sat at a smaller table so it was a bit cramped for room but still a wonderful place. If you have the opportunity definitely consider coming to Altius!”

“The location and view is amazing. The food was incredible we would recommend the Chilean SeaBass but everything was delicious, 10 of us for dinner so lots of unique selections and all exceptional. Save room for dessert. They were very patient as we arrived at 8.30 and were there until after 11. Highly recommend, prices high but you get what you pay for”

“I visited Altius for dinner and had a generally good experience, though not without a few small drawbacks. The location on Mount Washington is probably the highlight. The view of Pittsburgh at night is really impressive, especially if you get a window seat. The place feels upscale but still comfortable enough that you don’t feel out of place dressing smart casual. Food was solid overall. I tried a couple of their seafood dishes and a steak, and while everything was well-prepared and nicely presented, nothing felt particularly surprising or memorable for the price. Portions were reasonable but not large. Service was polite and professional, though at times a bit slow when it got busy. Overall, it’s the kind of place you go more for the view and atmosphere than for a standout dining experience. I’d consider going back for a special occasion, but probably not for a casual dinner.”

“It pains my heart to give businesses anything less than 5 stars, but I have to be truthful in my experience here. Certainly a fine dining experience. Staff were attentive and service was good, view was spectacular. Food wasn’t my favorite. Presentation was pretty but everything had a sweet hint to it that I didn’t enjoy, even food that is supposed to be savory. For the price I would expect excellent food, but maybe worth visiting once to experience the view for a special occasion.”
