Nick's - San Clemente

“Ordered the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass and loved it. The fish was fresh, flaky, and cooked perfectly. The whipped potatoes were excellent, and the spinach with toasted almonds was a pleasant surprise. You can tell a lot of care went into every part of the dish. Compliments to the chef. Definitely worth trying.”

“This was our first time here and it was an absolute amazing experience! The food was so good. Had the roasted artichoke and asparagus fries appetizer. Then the prime rib dip sandwich. Delicious. My wife had the spicy Thai salad which was alao incredible. Their butter cake was sooo good as well!Our server (Mylea) was so good! Definitely try this restaurant if you are in the San Clamente/San Juan Capistrano area!”

“Nick’s continues to set the bar in Southern California. I’ve been to the Manhattan Beach and Laguna Beach locations, and the San Clemente outpost holds the same high standard across the board. I started with the crispy rice tuna—exactly what you want it to be: clean, crunchy, and addictive. The $10 petite bistro salad was fresh and well-composed, and the halibut entree was perfectly cooked and simply executed in a way that lets the quality speak for itself. Finished with the signature butter cake and vanilla ice cream, which was outstanding. Service was just as strong. The hostess was warm, polished, and on top of everything on a busy night, and Elliot provided attentive, seamless service throughout. It’s rare for a multi-location restaurant to feel this consistent. Nick’s pulls it off!”

“Had a really solid meal at Nick’s San Clemente. I went with the Prime Rib Dip and that was easily the star of the night — super tender, melt-in-your-mouth prime rib on a soft brioche bun, with a red wine au jus and a nice kick from the horseradish cream. The fries on the side were just okay, but honestly felt like an afterthought next to the sandwich. My partner ordered the Blackened Fish Sandwich and was a big fan — clean flavors and cooked really well. Drinks were on point too. The Cucumber Collins was crisp and refreshing, and the Espresso Martini had just the right balance. Service was great for most of the meal and our waiter was attentive, but it tapered off at the end. We waited longer than expected to close out, which was a bit of a buzzkill after such a good experience. Overall, really good food and drinks — just a small stumble at the finish line.”

“Nicks has probably the most elevated food in the San Clemente area. The lighting was decent and the bar tenders were genuine. Start with the crispy rice or deviled egg appetizers. The entrée was delicious and I would definitely go back. That being said it was very vanilla inside.”
