“Had a lovely dinner at Benaras Mayfair. The food was amazing, especially the Paneer Galoti, Truffle Shorba, and the Energiser mocktail. We also really enjoyed the Malai Kulfi and Rasmalai for dessert. A special thank you to Prabhat ji for his warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. Chirag and Mohit were also fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our evening even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!”
“My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Benares. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. We chose the à la carte menu, and every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and showcased the restaurant’s creativity and attention to detail.A special thank you to Mr. Singh, whose professionalism and kindness made us feel truly valued throughout the evening. We would also like to thank Selsi, our server, who was attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything was perfect from start to finish. What made the evening so memorable was not only the outstanding food but also the level of care and personal attention we received. The team went above and beyond to make our dinner special, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that my wife and I genuinely appreciated. If you’re looking for an exceptional fine dining experience in Mayfair, Benares is a must-visit. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding food and world-class service.”
“Visited for a Virgin gift experience which exceeded expectations.. Theatrical 'street food' starter and wonderful flavours in the thali, smokey chicken and tender lamb. Additional rice and naan as requested. Perfectly light and balanced with cardamon dessert. Extra brownie for our birthdays, yum! Friendly and attentive service in classy surroundings. Would recommend. Thank you!”
“We celebrated our Marriage Anniversary at Benares, and it 100% lives up to the hype. Even though it’s a high-end Mayfair destination, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and never rushed. Every dish was a beautiful fusion of traditional Indian flavors and contemporary British presentation. We tried a huge variety: Starters: The Puchka and Samosa Ragda Tartlet, Tandoori Ratan were the perfect opening bites. Mains: The Murg Khaas Makhani (Butter Chicken) and Jhinga Moilee were standouts. Don’t miss the Chukandar Koftaa—the flavors are so unique! The Classics: The Daal Makhani and Garlic Coriander Naan were cooked to perfection. It’s the ultimate "treat yourself" meal. It is expensive, but the quality of the ingredients makes it worth every penny for a special occasion. The interior is sophisticated and beautiful, though the lighting is a bit dim/moody (just a heads up for those wanting food photos!).”
“We had an absolutely fabulous time for lunch. Unlike other nicer Indian restaurant in the area, they didn’t compromise on the authentic flavors. While our food was being prepared, the chef surprised us with Golguppas. OMG! the minty concoction were flavor bomb! Just the right mix of spicy, tangy and sweet flavors that take you back to Northern India streets. Every dish was masterfully crafted. We had Samosa Chat, meat curry, Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani. The best part was my Masala Chai. Chef immediately understood when I asked for less milk and strong tea.”
