“From the moment we walked in, the experience set the tone for a great night. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with that perfect candlelit vibe that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the moment. We started with a shrimp scampi that was cooked to perfection—tender, buttery, and full of flavor without being overpowering. For the main course, the lobster fri diovlo that delivered in every way: perfectly cooked, rich tomato sauce, and balanced seasoning that tied everything together. What really elevated the night was the service. Joe was excellent—attentive, professional, and made sure we were taken care of without ever being intrusive. Basil, the manager, was just as impressive, checking in and making sure everything met a high standard. That level of hospitality doesn’t go unnoticed. Overall, this wasn’t just a meal—it was a full experience. Great food, great service, and a vibe that makes you want to come back again.”
“Got a last minute reservation here for a Saturday evening. The restaurant was extremely busy it was about a 25 minute wait for our 9:30pm reservation. There’s only one tiny bench in the waiting area so there was a big crowd of people waiting by the door. The atmosphere was everything. Love all the arches in the ceiling and warm lighting through out the entire place which is huge by the way. The service was good and our server did an impeccable job. The food isn’t anything special and definitely on the cleaner side so if you have a big appetite you might want to order a few things. The cocktails were pricey but it got the job done. 3 cocktails later and I was finish for the night. The 100 layers lasagna wasn’t what I anticipated but not too bad either. Steak was juicy. Probably wouldn’t dine here again but will definitely come back for a cocktail at the bar.”
“Our reservation was at 7:30 PM, and as soon as we arrived, the entrance was packed with people waiting by the stairs. We waited a few minutes while our host looked for an open table. During that time, we connected with another host name Caleb who was an absolute sweetheart—I instantly loved his vibe! We were seated fairly quickly, but unfortunately, the table was right by the doorway. With all the incoming and outgoing traffic—and the cold air—we weren’t fans of that spot. When we asked if it was possible to be seated elsewhere, we were told it would be about a 30-minute wait. Since we didn’t want to wait by the stairs, they mentioned there was also a bar upstairs. As we headed upstairs, Caleb immediately ran after us and seated us at a booth table. Let’s talk about hospitality—can we please give him a raise?! He was an absolute sweetheart the entire night. Once seated, we ordered espresso martinis right away. They were definitely strong, so we added a shot of Baileys, which made them perfect. Our server, Ben, was amazing as well—super patient, especially since we took a while to order and stayed all the way until closing LOL. For appetizers, we ordered the Focaccia Di Recco, which was light, airy, cheesy, flaky, and absolutely delicious. I’m glad we chose this instead of regular bread because I needed the space for my main course. We also ordered the arancini—we expected two and were ready to split them, but three came out, which worked out perfectly. They were so good and cheesy. The crudo had a nice tangy flavor, and as a crudo lover, I definitely approved. The star of the appetizers was the polpo arrostito—sooooo good, especially paired with the hummus. For mains, we all ordered pasta and shared the steak tagliata, which ended up being my absolute favorite. The steak paired with the arugula was chef’s kiss. I ordered the 100-layer lasagna, which didn’t have meat (totally fine with me). It was tasty, though more of a classic, straightforward lasagna. One cousin ordered the carbonara (I couldn’t try it since it has pork), but she said it was delicious and finished the entire plate. My other cousin ordered the oxtail mafaldine, which was sweet, flavorful, and had an amazing pasta texture—I absolutely loved it. For dessert, we ordered the Limone di Amalfi. It was definitely picture-worthy, but a bit too sour for my taste. It was okay, but I’d definitely go for the tiramisu next time. My cousins and I hadn’t seen each other in over six months, so it was really nice to sit, catch up, and enjoy our girls’ night. Thank you to the staff for being so patient, letting us enjoy our time, and not rushing us out. We were literally the last table there—and as we walked out, they locked the door right behind us (LOL). Overall, my experience at Borromini was amazing. The staff was kind, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful. The manager even checked on us and introduced himself, which was very thoughtful. We tried to get a free shot (didn’t work 😂), but that’s okay! I’ll definitely be back.”
“First off, the decor is beautiful. Great atmosphere and architecture. Very traditional but true to feel European styling. The food does a good job of mixing American Italian food with some more traditional Italian dishes. The squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta was light and sweet. The clams casino a little small but well done. Not too oily. Was also happy to see some authentic Italian cocktails like an Americano and several house Negronis. Main platters were Cacio è Pepe and 100 layer lasagna. Both well done and very flavorfull. Cannoli for dessert, of which the orange was by far the favorite. Would definitely come back and try some other menu items. Be aware, it can be loud . But hey, it's an Italian restaurant so it fits.”
“The space is beautiful! Long bar with lots of seating. Beautiful interior and design. I sat at the bar. Kayla was FANTASTIC! I got the limoncello drop which was good. I got the Cacio e Pepe for food. Appreciated it was served in a pan. It could be a touch too pepper for some but it’s literally Cacio e Pepe. It was just fine taste wise. I got the chocolate olive oil cake and it was DIVINE. I would go back just for that. I appreciated there were a few meatless options available.”
