“It is quite easy to see why this seafood temple has been famously successful since 1975. After a long flight and nap we arrived around midnight (24:00) to smiles, fresh seafood tanks and dapperly dressed gentleman eager to start my birthday celebration with complimentary champagne. 😁 The fresh seafood jumped out of the water and onto our plates and we enjoyed the famous octopus, baked spider crab and fresh fried shrimp with fries ordered off menu for her. The seafood was so fresh, delicious, buttery and sweet. 😋 Thank you Botafumiero team for a great start to my birthday. We will gladly return to tackle more of your spectacular seafood delights. 🙏🏼🎣🐟🍾🥂”

“This restaurant is a true gem and a place I visit every time I’m in Barcelona. The service is consistently excellent, and the fish is always fresh and delicious. The only downside this year is that prices have noticeably increased, which is quite evident on the menu for certain items. Overall, it’s a historic spot with outstanding seafood and a very polite, professional staff. Highly recommended.”

“The appetizers were amazing and very delicious. The fish soup was incredible, and the seafood croquettes were very tasty. The dessert was absolutely fantastic. However, I was disappointed with the main fish dish — it had a strong fishy smell that made it impossible for me to eat even one bite. The service was excellent, but unfortunately the main fish dish did not meet my expectations.”
