“If you’re looking for a dinner spot that delivers both on flavor and atmosphere, Chart House is hard to beat. Sitting right on the Hudson, the restaurant offers sweeping views of the New York City skyline—especially stunning as the sun sets and the city lights start to glow across the water. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—attentive, polished, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. It set the tone for a relaxed, upscale dining experience. For the meal, we ordered the salmon plate—perfectly cooked, flaky, and rich, with a clean, fresh flavor that didn’t need much embellishment. The New York strip steak was equally impressive: cooked to a precise temperature with a beautiful sear, tender in the center, and packed with bold, savory flavor. The standout, though, was the seafood combo pasta. It was loaded with fresh seafood mix and tossed in a well-balanced sauce that brought everything together without overpowering the natural flavors. Each bite felt indulgent but not heavy. Between the high-quality dishes, top-tier service, and that unbeatable waterfront view, Chart House delivers a full experience—not just a meal. It’s the kind of place you go for a special night out or when you want to impress, and it absolutely lives up to the occasion.”
“Absolutely delicious food!!!! We went on his birthday and were seated with the most amazing view of the city!! We decided to get the crème brûlée flight instead of the lava cake! Definitely a good decision! Cocktails were generously poured.”
“Maybe I had low expectation, but this place was great. This restaurant is definitely for the views. The food is fine too, but its similar to any higher end restaurants that you’d take on a special occasion living in the suburb. Is it comparable to Michelin / Fine dining? No. I would come here for views and relatively good food (I enjoyed Prime Rib & creamed spinach)”
“We chose Chart House to celebrate both a birthday and my grandparents’ anniversary, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We were a group of four and were lucky to get a beautiful window-side table. The highlight was definitely the stunning NYC skyline view over the water while we dined—it really elevated the whole evening. For appetizers, we tried the kimchi calamari and hummus naan, both of which were delicious and a great start to the meal. Everyone enjoyed their main courses as well, along with some drinks. The service was quick, attentive, and overall very pleasant. A special touch that stood out was the complimentary birthday and anniversary desserts—they brought out a red velvet cake and a chocolate lava cake, which made the celebration even more memorable. Reservations are definitely recommended—we had booked in advance and also requested a window table, which I’d suggest doing, especially if you’re visiting from out of town like we were. Overall, I’d rate this experience a 4/5. Great food, excellent views, and thoughtful service make it a perfect spot for special occasions.”
“As with most my reviews I will have to give both the good and bad. I made reservations to come on a Sunday night. I called an hour before my reservations letting them know I would be 20 minutes late due to a bad snow storm. I was told they could only hold it for 15 minutes and I let them know it was an hour drive in snow so it was hard to predict. Finally they said you are 20 minutes late and we will hold it. However when I got there the restaurant was half full so I could understand if being late affected other parties but it did not in this case so I am not sure what the hassle was over 5 minutes. The server was very good and prompt. He did a great job of explaining the food and serving us. I hate to say this like most Landry’s restaurants the food is just ok. I had salmon and my wife had steak. The only thing that was good was the caeser salad and bread. The reason you come to this restaurant is the view. That’s it. Overall it’s not a bad place but for the price I am not sure I’d be back. Update: So management reached out to me about the situation on my visit from 1/18 and today is 1/29 and left a message on my phone. I did not get to speak to the general manager but the message was very professional. I have not been back yet but I would be open to giving this place a second try and appreciate the call.”
