“Celebrated our 17 year wedding anniversary here last night and it was Amazing. The atmosphere was so nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor seating with an ocean view. The heat towers and lamps kept the temperature out there perfect as it was a bit cold out. We ordered the Roulette Roll-delicous and portion was perfect, the Ceasar Salad -large portion perfectly dressed, great flavor, and we added the chicken and it was grilled and so moist, my husband had the 10 oz Filet Mignon - cooked just right (they do offer 3 sauces to choose from, but for an additional $4 dollars... this should be included and just given in a smaller portion or a small sample of each sauce with the steak especially since you are paying $61 dollars it should be included), I had the Wagyu Burger with Regular Fries (it comes with truffle fries, but I don't like mushrooms so I substituted them)- the burger cooked medium had tons of flavor and the fries were crispy and delicious, last we had the twice baked potato- super creamy with chives on top we ate the whole thing even the peel. The waiter did suprise us with a small dessert cake for our anniversary, but he shouldn't have put it on the bill and then credited us as we didnt even ask for it. Overall we will be back ❤️”
“We had dinner at JRDN in Pacific Beach last week, just my daughter and me, and it turned into one of those meals that lingers in your head long after the table is cleared. There is a new energy in the room right now. Executive Chef Dwayne Gale has reworked the menu, and you can taste the intent. It is thoughtful, a little bold, and clearly coming from someone who knows exactly what he wants to put on a plate. We started with the Lobster Tacos and Bone Marrow Crab Cakes. The lobster tacos alone are worth the trip. JRDN handcrafts their flour tortillas with finely cut chives pressed right into the dough before they hit the heat. You catch the aroma before the plate even lands. The lobster is not an afterthought either. Generous, sweet, perfectly cooked. This is how you do it when you actually respect the ingredient. Then the bone marrow crab cakes show up and things get serious. Rich, unapologetic bone marrow with a beautifully executed crab cake perched on top. It is indulgent in a way that makes you pause for a second, take a sip of your drink, and go right back in for another bite. The cioppino was fire. Deep, layered, briny in all the right ways, with seafood that tastes like it had somewhere better to be than sitting in a pot all day. This was alive. The scallops were dialed in. Hard sear, tender center, no nonsense. And the smoked margaritas with grilled and dried pineapple garnish. That smoky edge, the caramelized fruit, the citrus cutting through it all. It is the kind of drink that makes you slow down and stay a little longer than you planned. What sealed it was Chef Gale coming out to the table. No ego, no performance. Just a guy who clearly cares, talking food, checking in, making sure the experience lands the way it should. That kind of presence matters. You feel it in the room and you taste it on the plate. Highly recommend JRDN right now. This is a kitchen with something to say, and it is saying it well.”
“Had a wonderful dinner time with group watching sunset and catching up! They have amazing service, delicious food, top notch ambience and 2 hr free valet parking! Would come back again!!”
“We recently held a celebration of life for my dad at this incredible restaurant, and I can’t imagine a more perfect place to honor him. The stunning ocean view provided a peaceful, uplifting backdrop that truly set the tone for the day. The staff went above and beyond — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They handled everything with professionalism and compassion, making sure we felt supported throughout the entire event. And the food… absolutely fantastic. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor — our guests are still talking about it! Big shout out to Robby and team who was incredibly helpful navigating the entire process. They were a pleasure to work with. I’m so grateful to the entire staff for helping us create such a special and memorable day.”
“This place looks like it’s about to impress. Beautiful, upscale vibe with a sleek dining room and a big sports bar up front. Service was solid, and it definitely feels like a “special occasion” kind of spot. The Wagyu burger, though, was a letdown. Amazing fries, but the burger itself was surprisingly bland—even with grilled onions and cheese. For $26–$28, the “Wagyu” label felt more like marketing than magic. I’ve honestly had more flavorful burgers at In-N-Out (animal style), which isn’t a great look for a high-end burger. On the bright side, my wife’s risotto was excellent—easy 10/10. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the risotto was rich and flavorful, and even the waitress said it’s one of her favorite dishes (advice I should’ve taken). Bottom line: great atmosphere, good service, one standout dish—but skip the burger. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return unless someone else was choosing. Street parking only, mostly free if you’re lucky.”
