“Delicious! Exactly what we were expecting, and more. The toasted ravioli appetizer was light & fluffy. We had the Classic deep dish pizza and the crust was light and buttery. The small pizza was more than the two of us could eat. They also offer cold Peroni beer on tap. When we checked in at 12:00 we were told to expect a 40-45 minute wait, but we were seated just 20 minutes later.”

“This place nails Chicago classics. The buttery deep‑dish pizza is exactly what you hope for — rich, crisp edges, and a dough that somehow stays light despite all that cheese. Their thin crust is just as impressive, with that perfect tavern‑style crunch. I always start with the salad, which is fresh, generous, and way better than the usual afterthought you get at pizza spots. And the sleeper hit is the beef sandwich: tender, flavorful, and dipped just right. A true Chicago staple that delivers across the board. We enjoyed hospitality of Zoe as she was helpful, fun and knowledgeable about the menu.”

“Lou Malnati's Pizzeria absolutely lived up to the hype. I had their classic deep dish pizza with added pepperoni, and it was perfectly cooked, rich, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. The sauce was thick and flavorful with just a hint of spice that tied everything together beautifully. The garlic bread was wonderful, simple, warm, and packed with flavor. On top of the great food, the service was excellent, quick, friendly, and attentive. They made helpful recommendations and checked in often without being overbearing. A classic Chicago experience done right. 🍕”

“A trip to Chicago wouldn’t have felt complete without trying the famous deep-dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s. Every time I walked along the Riverwalk, I saw a huge crowd waiting outside, and I’d heard the wait could be up to two hours which is crazy!! To avoid the rush, I came on a weekday around 3:30 p.m. Even then, there was still about a 30-minute wait. Since I was dining solo, I was able to grab the last open seat at the bar, which worked out perfectly. The bartender was friendly, took my order right away, and gave me a heads-up that the deep-dish pizzas take at least 40 minutes to bake. I was expecting that, so I didn’t mind the wait. One thing that really stood out was how massive the restaurant is. Even at 4 p.m. on a weekday, it was packed and the staff was constantly on the move. I ordered the small Margherita Pesto deep-dish pizza because I wanted to have leftovers for my flight later that day. The pizza was definitely different from any pizza I’d had before, and it was incredibly filling. Since this was my first deep-dish pizza, I can’t really comment on how authentic it was, but I enjoyed it and was glad I had enough left over for another meal. Im happy I finally got to try one of Chicago’s iconic deep-dish spots.”

“As a first timer in Chicago, obviously I had to try deep dish pizza. I got the Chicago classic deep dish and I was so disappointed! It was very lackluster and had no flavor at all. The sauce was watery. The only good thing was the crust. Besides that, we started with a salad which was delicious. Service was fine. I would definitely recommend making reservations because they were busy!!”
