“Simplicity shines. Despite the Michelin guide, the setting is unassuming. The tapas-style menu is unpretentious, the food plating doesn't make you go wow, but the flavors speak volumes. As per the waitress's recommendation, we went with the curries. I think what she meant by "very good" was "absolutely smashing". The beef massaman is deep in spices with a hint of tamarind and lemongrass. The crab curry has a delightfully light coconuty creamy flavor, which allows the crab taste to shine. I didn't take a picture but the papaya salad is also a blast of flavors with fish sauce, chillies, the sourness from the green papayas and fragrant fried soft shell crab. I ordered the clam soup on a whim, but oh boy, the flavorful broth caught me off guard. The clams were a bit chewy though. All in all, well-deserved Michelin guide to this little cozy Thai spot in Brookline.”
“Hands down the best pad thai of my life. I honestly didn’t know pad thai could be this moist and flavorful. I went after every last noodle on the plate. The curry underneath the lamb was incredible, rich and deeply satisfying. We also ordered the pork cheek, which was extremely tender and packed with authentic Thai flavor. The lemonade had a subtle touch of honey, which I loved, though I wished the portion were a bit more generous. The service was superb. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly. I was honestly surprised by how much they smiled and checked in on us. Our water was always refilled promptly, and they even brought fresh water while we were finishing the last bites of our final dish. The price was reasonable as well. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes, especially that unforgettable pad thai. So glad we found this place.”
“Man some of the flavors in this meal were incredible. There wasn't a single sub par dish but anything with curry or stew is an absolute 11/10. Razor claws and Shrimp salad were really tasty. Penang, masaman, and salt pepper pork cheek were absolutely incredible. All the dishes were cooked perfectly, tasted amazing, really a treat. Only dish I'd skip is the pork belly dish. Cocktails are good not great but honestly place still gets a 5 star.”
“Wow. It has taken me years to get here, and I will be coming back often! It's tiny so I could never get a res, and the last time, my son refused to wait. I should have ignored him. This restaurant which I will never be able to pronounce or figure out how to spell is absolutely fantastic! I love Thai food and have never found decent Thai food in the Boston area. This place is it! Razor clams were amazing. Whole branzino too was so crispy and full of delicious fish sauce umami. Pad thai wa the best I have had with perfectly cooked shrimp. And to top it off, their cocktails are amazing! Rabbit on the Moon is for margarita lovers and not too sweet. We slid into 2 seats at the bar at about 8:30 which might be the sweet spot. Food comes out incredibly quick which is my ONLY negative. I like to savor the courses. No wonder they got a Michelin mention! Well deserved!”
“100% recommend!! Needed to reserve on a random weekday, early lunch but so worth it. Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason. The beef massaman 🍛🫓 was incredibly umami and packed with flavor. It was rich and creamy, pairing perfectly with the chewy roti. The spice gently kicks in at the end but never overwhelms. This was easily my favorite with a 'wow' factor. 🫶 The crab curry 🦀 was milder in flavor compared to the beef massaman but still deeply rich and umami. The thin noodles soaked up all that crab sauce beautifully, and the fresh cucumbers added the perfect crisp balance. Another 'wow' factor dish although I wish there was some pickled veggie like kimchi (lol very Korean of me) to balance out the heaviness. The pomelo salad 🥗🦐 was super refreshing, with plump, juicy prawns that really elevated the dish. The salad itself was savory and bright, though slightly salty for me without the prawns to balance it out. This was a restaurant where I was already thinking about my next visit and what other dishes to try as I was eating 🐷”
