“Came here on a Tuesday night and everything was phenomenal. From the customer service, ambience, and more importantly the dishes. Esther was my lady & I’s server and she is great. Thank you for the recommendations! We will be back :)”
“This was our first time to Molo. We are locals and thought about trying something new for dinner than the normal spots we tend to gravitate too. Well, after tonight, Molo will make the list as a must! From the very through description of some recommended entrees to the Avocado Citrus salad, Caesar salad and Garlic bread starters, our server, Randy was there to assist with it all. He then pointed out a few of his favorite dishes but we settled on the Chicken Parm and Vodka sauce pasta with sausage. I would highly recommend Molo but, while you’re there, waiting for your table, you need to ask for Randy. His service is one of the best we have experienced in Newport Beach.”
“Stepped into this spot and the vibe was just immaculate. The calamari was the ultimate starter, and that lasagna? Pure comfort in every layer. Finished it off with a dessert that was actually light and not too sweet.”
“Delightful Italian restaurant—a little off the beaten path—but definitely worth the extra two minutes of travel and searching to find. Molo offers indoor dining as well as outdoor dining on a large and bright patio with its own walkway. Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Fennel, arugula, and fava bean salad was light and refreshing—have had this twice. My friend had mushroom risotto and thought it was the best. I had a pasta ragu; the pasta and sauce was yummy although the meat seemed overcooked and lacked moisture. Mushroom pizza (without cheese) was yummy—good sauce and nice crust. Green beans side dish also good. Roasted potatoes were disappointing—skinless, cold, and mushy like Italian tater tots—they weren’t bad, just very mushy. Definitely look forward to returning here and trying other dishes.”
“We found an authentic Italian seafood restaurant called Molo, but after arriving, we realized: 1. There was no reception or host to greet us 2. No complimentary bread was offered 3. No wet wipes to remove seafood odor 4. Very “Italian” style — they casually call you “my friend” as soon as you walk in If you’re looking for a truly authentic Italian dining experience, this is definitely not the place. If you’re expecting an American-style Italian restaurant, it still needs some improvement—it falls a bit short.”
