Sotto Sotto has been an Atlanta dining destination for over 15 years. Dishes here are firmly rooted in centuries of Italian tradition – from tortelli di Michelangelo, a 15th century dish of plump ravioli stuffed with veal, chicken and pork in a silky butter-and-sage sauce, to the simple, traditional appeal of seasonal favorites such as risotto al basilico, made with carnaroli rice, marinated heirloom tomatoes and summer basil.
“This was our first time dining at Sotto Sotto, and we can definitely see why it’s such a popular spot. We were seated in the garden room and the view was beautiful! We started with drinks and were informed right away by our server, Clarissa, that there was only one bartender working. We appreciated the heads-up, as it helped set expectations from the beginning. Despite that, our appetizers arrived in a timely manner. We ordered the burrata, carpaccio, and the house bread, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The quality and flavors were outstanding and made a fantastic first impression. The timing between the appetizers and our main courses was a little longer than we would have preferred, but honestly, the exceptional service from Clarissa more than made up for it. She was attentive, friendly, communicative, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the evening. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely return. A special thank you to Clarissa for making our first visit so enjoyable and memorable.”
“The food taste like real Italian food! Not like other Italian restaurants in the United States which they taste like fast food! The food 4.8/5 The service 5/5 The atmosphere 4.5/5”
“We hadn’t been in a while and my wife was craving Lasagna. Good thing we picked Sotto Sotto. Seems they updated their Lasagna recipe and made it even better! My Branzino was equally tasty and the kids including our 14month old Toddler devoured the delicious Bolognese. Service was very accommodating to our Family with 3 small children, only the drinks could have come a little faster. It was very packed tbh. Be sure to make reservations, especially on weekends.”
“We had an exceptional evening at Sotto Sotto, and our waitress April deserves every bit of recognition for making it so special. She was absolutely outstanding from the moment we sat down. Her knowledge of the menu was genuinely impressive and her recommendations were perfectly tailored to our tastes. Our group is notoriously complicated and she navigated every request with effortless grace, patience, and a warmth that made us feel like the most important guests in the room. April is the kind of server who elevates a great meal into a truly memorable experience. We cannot recommend her highly enough. We will absolutely be back, and we will be asking for April by name!”
“My good friend had planned a nice dinner for my birthday celebration. When we arrived our table was ready yet very awkwardly placed, half of our seats were unaccessible in the main dining room. We had to shift the table a few times to settle in my party of 9 at our round table. The portions for the whole set menu were a bit underwhelming yet the quality of the dishes were very good, presentation was beautiful and service was excellent ! Highly recommend the charcuterie board selection for your appetizer ! The cocktails were beautifully poured and tasty.”
