“Sublime restaurant. We stayed at St. Regis a few nights & were able to eat dinner here twice. Everything we tried we loved. The pesto was by far my absolute favorite. We tried both bread options & they were delectable! The octopus salad was nice & refreshing. The limone pasta was just a mouthful of flavor!! Every bite was consistent. The lemon “flavor” didnt sink to the bottom of the bowl — every bite carried the same taste & that was fantastic to experience. They even gave our toddler some pasta dough to play with so he’d be entertainer during dinner! So thoughtful. Two “issues” but not so serious: I felt the tables are packed so close to each other you can hear other tables conversations … Also I wish they had panna cotta as a dessert option. But truly a memorable experience both times. They made sure to acknowledge my birthday & made it special. If we come back to Chicago we’d definitely return!”

“We chose Tre Dita to celebrate two birthdays because we wanted a special dining experience at one of Chicago’s most beautiful riverfront restaurants. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning, and the food was delicious. We were especially impressed by the host team and the staff who escorted us to our table. They were warm, friendly, and even moved us to a better seating area, which made the evening feel even more special. We also truly appreciated the birthday desserts and the thoughtful gesture for our two birthday guests. It helped create wonderful memories for all of us. The only reason I am giving 4 stars overall is that the server who initially took our order seemed a bit too serious and not very welcoming. While we understand that everyone has their own service style and was doing their job professionally, we expected a warmer and friendlier interaction, especially for a special birthday celebration. The lack of smiles and warmth during the ordering process made us feel slightly uncomfortable at the beginning of the evening. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and the rest of the staff were excellent. We are thankful for the special birthday experience and hope to return again in the future.”

“I had been wanting to try Tre Dita for a while, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The food, service, and overall experience were outstanding. I will say the ambiance really shines at night compared to during daylight hours. I ordered the ribeye medium-wellish (it came out a touch more cooked than I expected), but the table enjoy the pollo alla toscana and the tortelloni di piselli. The wine selection was fantastic and perfectly complemented the meal. This is such a perfect spot for birthdays, date nights, or any celebration where you want the evening to feel elevated.”

“We went to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Our server was exceptional—since we’re vegetarian, she took the time to walk us through the menu and recommend dishes we could try. We followed her suggestions and ordered a dish made from squash blossoms, which was absolutely mind-blowing—easily one of the highlights of the meal. The spicy pasta was also incredibly flavorful and surprisingly delicious. The focaccia bread stood out as well—soft, fresh, and full of flavor. The only downside was the portion size, especially considering the pricing. The quantities felt a bit small, and overall the restaurant leans toward the pricey side. Still, the quality of the food and service made it a memorable celebration.”

“Came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and overall I’d give it 3 stars. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. It was packed on the night we visited, which speaks to its popularity. Service was excellent throughout the evening friendly, attentive, and accommodating. To start, we ordered the focaccia bread and burrata salad. Both were delicious. The focaccia was easily one of my favorite parts of the meal, especially with the generous amount of Parmesan on top. The burrata was fresh and flavorful, although I do wish it came with some toasted bread or crostini to complement it. For dinner, we ordered two 8 oz filets, the ricotta ravioli, cacio e pepe, and lamb chops. The steaks were cooked beautifully juicy, tender, and exactly the temperature we requested. However, I felt like nearly everything was heavily salted. The pasta dishes and steaks all seemed to have an excessive amount of salt, which overpowered some of the flavors. The cacio e pepe was also a surprisingly small portion for the price. The lamb chops were probably my least favorite dish of the evening. The sauce itself was tasty, but the lamb lacked flavor and just didn’t stand out the way I expected it to. For dessert, we ordered the Devil’s Food Cake. It was enjoyable, but I’d recommend asking about the dessert ingredients beforehand, as some options contain alcohol. The staff was accommodating and able to make modifications when possible. A couple things were disappointing for a birthday celebration. We adjusted our reservation a few hours beforehand and arrived around 9:30 PM, but weren’t seated until nearly 9:55 PM. I understand they were busy, but it was still a bit frustrating. I was also surprised there wasn’t any acknowledgment of the birthday no candle or small celebratory touch. Overall, the service and ambiance were the highlights of the experience. While there were some dishes I enjoyed, the food felt overpriced for what we received, especially considering the portion sizes and heavy seasoning. I’d consider returning for the atmosphere and appetizers, but I don’t think it lived up to the expectations of a special occasion dinner.”
