“Wonderful chefs recommendations and wine pairings. Super glad I found this spot while staying in midtown for a conference at the convention center. So much better than my experience at Wren and Wolf the night before. Every dish was delicious and right sized. A treat for a new mom on a work trip, made me feel like a queen. Happy early mothers day to me :)”
“I seriously cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. My wife and I came here for the first time and were blown away by the service, atmosphere, and quality of food. We opted for the five course chefs choice, and it was incredible! Each of us received different plates from the menu and had a lot of fun trying the variety of what they had to offer. My wife typically doesn’t like beef tartare, but that ended up being one of her favorite plates of the dinner. I can’t recommend this enough and can’t wait to go back!”
“Everything from the food to service was so perfect! This restaurant had so many local ingredients and flavorful menu items. I highly recommend doing their “Chef’s Choice” 5 course menu. I did this with my husband and the 5 courses were different for each of us! I loved this because you got to try different menu items. Their chicken is so tender and juicy and it will be the best chicken you’ll ever have. I loved the daily stuffed pasta too because the sweet potato with the homemade pasta made it for that home cooked feeling providing that fall flavor profile that warms your insides. Chais was such an amazing waitress and so friendly! Loved how she provided her recommendations and was so welcoming and kind. It is casual on the inside yet felt upscale without the stuffiness Highly recommend for a nice dinner, date, or special occasion”
“So, my friend and I went there after he heard about them through another friend! And it was some of the best food I’ve had in my 32 years of life! We each did the “Leave it to the kitchen” and as such, we both got five courses different from each other, and each more tasty than the last! Perfect amount of interaction with the staff, all very pleasant and friendly and wildly knowledgeable on their menu”
“We had a great experience at Restaurant Progress for a 60th birthday celebration for my Dad! The food was really outstanding and the sommelier made the experience more fun with his in-depth narratives about the wine - definitely a highlight! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because we were eating the 4th course (we did the chefs choice 5 course and wine pairings), my dad took a bite of the chicken someone else had gotten, remarked it was strange, and we looked down to find completely raw chicken. The outside portion of the leg was edible, just the inside was raw (cold to the touch raw). Not a huge deal since we were able to eat 60% of it so we didn't send it back, but when we told our server, she just remarked that it was a great thing to tell the kitchen. We weren't asking for anything free, but it also felt weird for that to be the only thing said about being served (and probably also eaten) raw chicken from a restaurant of this quality. It would have been nice to have a little bit more response from the restaurant, in terms of either I'm so sorry or a reflection on the check. When paying $800 for a meal for 5, we didn't really think it was great to have to pay for a course where we were served raw chicken. Overall, the dinner was still great and I would definitely come back again, I would just probably ask for them to double check te chicken lol.”
