“My friend organized a '70s-themed beach party in Oceanside, and we ended up at this cool spot for appetizers and drinks. This was my second time here, and I love everything about this place. First of all, kudos to the bartender--I forgot her name, but she was incredibly generous and kind. She accidentally forgot my drink and kept apologizing, but I told her it was totally fine since we had a large party. To make up for it, she gave me two shots instead of one and even added a big discount. The ambiance of this place is unique and very artsy. If you're looking for a cool, one-of-a-kind spot to hang out, this is it. There's so much attention to detail throughout--even the restroom door is thoughtfully designed with a modern, creative touch. My friend ordered a variety of cocktails, and everyone enjoyed them. The food was great as well. I ordered the hummus plate, and it was the best I've ever had--so fresh and served in a generous portion. My friends tried the pizza and a few other items from the menu, and everything got a thumbs up. If you're in the area looking for a cool place to hang out or planning a party, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back again soon.”

“We had an amazing experience hosting my 10-year wedding anniversary celebration at Sound by the Sea Listening Bar. We rented out half of the space for the evening and it was absolutely perfect for our group! Dom was very communicative leading up to the event and so responsive throughout the night. Our group was definitely taking advantage of the open bar, and the staff handled everything seamlessly and with great energy. The venue itself has such cool vibes. I’s the kind of place that feels special, but still relaxed and fun. We reserved the lounge area between the DJ and the bar, which created the perfect space for our group to gather, but there’s also great outdoor space that would be amazing on a warm night. The music was fantastic and very much in line with the listening bar concept, eclectic and interesting . Toward the end of the night, the DJ even accommodated our request to mix in some upbeat dance songs, which kept the energy high and had everyone on their feet. The food was also great - heavy appetizers that kept everyone happy throughout the night. Overall, everyone had an absolute blast. It was so fun introducing many of our friends to this gem in Oceanside. “The food menu is fabulous!!! The flatbread and empanadas are finger licken' good! They have refreshing specialty teas . The Italian sodas are by far the best you'll ever try. The servers are great at making the most delicious mixed drinks!The atmosphere is so dreamy and retro. Low lighting adds to intimate conversations. The patio is the perfect spot on hot summer nights. It's easy to find a new friend as the vibe is conducive for relationships. Sometimes they have live DJ's and live music. The vibe is chill and sometimes poppin'. If you're feeling romantic, the beach is just a stroll away. You can spend hours here!! The service is outstanding!!! Late hours makes this place a hot spot in Oceanside. Put this place on your bucket list and check it off as soon as you can. Sound by the Sea will be your favorite happy place!”

“This space is so fun for a music lover. They are spinning vinyl records and the sound system is great. They even have the decibel meter over in one corner. The vibe is very chill with a lot of photo spots throughout. I ordered an NA cocktail and while it tasted DELICIOUS.... they aren't speedy even on a tuesday night. Totally fine if you have the time to enjoy the music while you wait for your drinks.”
