About Superba Bakehouse: Our Bakehouse produces 10 artisanal breads and 30 handcrafted pastries daily for enjoyment in each of our Superba locations. Our chefs specialize in pastry lamination, producing 10 unique croissants along with an array of other seasonal pastry varieties that utilize the freshest ingredients found at our local Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. Our efforts to make delicious baked goods have been recognized nationwide and, most importantly, by our loyal locals. So when you hear “Bread in Venice”, you know they’re talking about us.
“Great place, which serves high-quality fulfilling dishes any time of the day. Having a perfectly baked trout and ravioli for breakfast at 8am was a huge joy for us. And don’t forget to try their breakfast burrito. It’s truly the best you can find! Service is quick and welcoming. And atmosphere is joyful and relaxing. Thank you for being THAT GOOD.”
“Superba Food and Bread is an absolute gem. The space is bright, welcoming perfectly matching the laid back Venice vibe. The patio seating is especially great on a sunny day. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend for amazing coffee, incredible bread, and a great overall experience.”
“Small menu, but the food was very good and well prepared. The staff was attentive and friendly, that’s why I’m giving 5 stars. Something that was disappointing is there is a “Happy + Healthy” surcharge added to the bill. It may be disclosed on the menu, but unless you’re specifically looking for it, it’s easy to miss. We didn’t realize it until we got the check. We did ask for it to be removed and they did. They also promote a monthly donation option where guests can vote for which cause they want them to support. While that’s thoughtful, it feels like it would make more sense to eliminate the surcharge and direct those funds straight to the employees instead of adding extra fees. Greater transparency upfront would improve the overall experience.”
“Superva Bakery is Superb! Get there early so you can get the baked goods, but even if you come in for a sit-down breakfast either way, grab and go sit down and stay, it's wonderful. Absolutely one of my favorite go-to places! Aaron provided friendly outstanding service and welcomed me while they described the daily breads 🌯🥗🥪🥐🍞🍪❣️”
“Excellent for brunch!! Not the cheapest place but the atmosphere and the feel is really nice. Waiters are great and the food is excellent. Check out their sandwich with golden syrup & candied pecans or their omelette with Boursin and Chive…one of the best we got !”
