Tavern & Table is the dream child of Cecil & Dianne Crowley, Andy Palmer & Jeff Condon. After years of working together on various successful restaurant concepts, they wanted to bring together the very best aspects of fine dining and casual hospitality in a beautiful and comfortable setting. Tavern & Table is more than a restaurant, it was created to be a gathering place where people sit in comfort and share small plates for the table or enjoy a hearty meal. The bartenders know the fine art of cocktail making and their interest in flavor and presentation comes alive in not only in the food but in barrel aged cocktails that are created in-house.
“A few of us met up for happy hour here. We found a shaded table below near the water. We tried to order HH items but were told by our server that it was only at the bar which we weren’t aware of. We closed out and made our way to their outdoor bar. They also didn’t have their HH menu updated online so there were things we wanted but couldn’t get because it was a different menu. We ended up getting a couple dozen oysters, smoked fish dip and crispy tuna rice. Oysters were fresh and nicely chilled, tuna rice was well seasoned and the fish dip was ok, didn’t have any smoky flavor or element to it and lacked in flavor. I enjoyed my cocktail which was the watermelon one and hubby had an Aperol spritz. We ended up moving back down with our friends who had dogs so they ordered from the regular menu. The server was very accommodating and friendly. My friend got the burnt ends Mac n cheese and that was delicious! The place itself was huge and I could see it being a great spot for private events. Overall we had a good time.”
“Delish food and beautifully crafted cocktails. Italian flatbread and tuna tostada were fantastic! Our waiter Milen was so much fun, steered us to great choices and communicated my allergies to the chef. They went over and above to create an ahi tuna tostada that I could eat. Sooo good! Perfect later evening stop. The restaurant is beautiful with water views. We will return!”
“We stopped in around 2:00 PM and had a great experience. The food came out hot, fresh, and exactly what you hope for when dining out. You could tell everything had been recently prepared, and the quality really showed in both the taste and presentation. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Even though we arrived during the afternoon between the lunch and dinner rush, the service was still excellent and the food quality did not suffer at all. Every item we ordered was flavorful and cooked just right. It’s always nice to find a place that takes pride in serving fresh food no matter what time of day you visit. We would definitely stop back again when we’re in the area”
“What a location! I loved the interior decor as well!! Service: started out really good, and I feel like we were working with the head waitress because they gave her a 12 top with her normal station, and then things went downhill from there. She wasn't in the weeds, we were just forgotten as a two top against the windows. It took awhile to get her attention to order...then my meal came out and I had no silverware for about 10 minutes while my husband was almost done with his.. but I digress. Food: probably their signature appetizer, the oysters that you see on social media, were a big disappointment. They were cold and that makes for an underwhelming dish. Seemed like they were cooked and then sat in the kitchen awhile before they were delivered. They were very small, which was okay, but coupled with the fact they were cold was no bueno. The Italian flatbread was a disappointment as the 'nduja was really overpowering. On a good note, the crust was really crispy! Mussels: very good! The sauce was delish and bold! And there's a lot of them. You can also sop up the sauce with the bread Dynamite shrimp: In a word: dynamite!! One of the best dishes I have had. The fried, finely diced, banana peppers were the hit of the dish. Drinks: very good pours 👍🏼 Loved the vibe, watching dolphins and pelicans scavenging for food, atmosphere, mussels and dynamite shrimp. The drinks were on point and did not take too long. Shout out to the hostess who did us a solid and got us a table right by the window! Disappointed that the service took a nose dive, which took away from everything else. We would go back but now know what to ask for.”
“The Dynamite Shrimp are extremely tasty. The right amount of spice and sweet. The Crab BLT is ok. Very soft but you don't really notice the crab. The bacon is a good add but too much bread in the crab. The Fish and Chips are well portioned but the cod is tough. The Bison burger is a great size but was overcooked making it dry. Service was painfully slow. The staff is extremely friendly but can only try to keep up.”
