“SUCH A COOL CONCEPT!! the plants in here are thriving and beautiful. We may or may not have come home with a few. The owner was able to help us by telling us about plant care. She was so passionate. The bartender was attentive and made good drinks. Loved the strawberry privilege.”
“I LOVE this place! It's so cute and I love all the greenery and plants you can buy! The fries are amazing! Cocktails are so unique and seasonal. Ambiance and music are fantastic and all the food I've tried are all delicious!”
“SUCH a cute place, the lighting, the plants, the decor, everything is so so cute. It’s prefect for a date night or girls night. The ambience is definitely there and the staff are amazing. Whoever has left negative reviews has clearly never worked in the service industry. Me and my boyfriend went in last night for pre dinner drinks and they were obviously packed however everyone was super kind and the bartenders were engaging with us kindly. Happy hour is usually not something running on holiday nights…..The cocktails were delicious! They have added so many new cocktails since I’ve last been in, each more unique than the first. Obviously they are craft cocktails and you can see the detail and multi step process that goes into them. Some take longer than others but that’s what you want when you enjoy the craft. 10/10 I love the Broken Cage.”
“I live in New York and let me tell you, I wish we had a bar as cute and perfect as this one. I had the best espresso martini of my life here. Also the lighting is fab, I felt cute all night. Ps. Get the pierogis & edamame. Iconic”
“This has always been one of my favorite bars, which makes this review even more disappointing to write. We went on Valentine’s Day and were told there would be a wait, which is totally understandable and not an issue at all. Thankfully, seats opened up quickly and we were able to sit right away at the bar. Unfortunately, that’s where the positive experience ended. When we sat down, there was barely any room in front of me to even set my drink down. The bar space was cluttered with books and a box that could have easily been moved to make room for paying customers. Instead, we were told we needed to scoot over because we were sitting where drinks come out, even though there was already no space to begin with. We also didn’t even get ID’d which I thought was strange. They could’ve been serving a minor. Not to mention their happy hour is also listed from 3-6:30 EVERY DAY (doesn’t mention excluding holidays). We asked if happy hour was still honored and the bartender just said “no.” Service was extremely slow, and it took forever just to get our tab. To make matters worse, the bartender was loudly complaining and cussing about making drinks and about customers right in front of us. It’s incredibly uncomfortable to hear staff openly venting about the people they’re serving while you’re sitting there. I understand Valentine’s Day is busy, but being busy doesn’t excuse poor organization, lack of space, and openly disrespectful behavior. I’ve loved this place in the past, but this experience really changed my perspective.”
