“Opened in the Summer of 2016, this brew pub , just outside of Madison, in Waunakee, has bee crafting good beer and food for almost 10 years now. It's an excellent space. From the outside, it has a nice, corner-like, spot next to an old train depot. (Don't worry...Trains are few and far between.) The interior is decorated nicely. Lots of wood, exposed ceilings, and some nice, decorative, touches. (It's the holiday season here, now, at end of year, so many holiday lights and more are clearly a part of the interior space.) It has two levels. There is an outdoor, upstairs, area known as "The Rooftop". And some interior space upstairs (indoor) as well that can be rented and used for meetings, parties, etc. Bars both up and downstairs. The Rooftop boast plenty of seating and space for a wide variety of groups. And the large, centralized, firepit is a nice bonus once the sun sets. (In the winter, they offer Rooftop Domes for rent. Cozy, private, globes which are heated and can be for both small and larger groups of people.) The Beer is good. Always a wide variety of styles. And the food is good as well. Friday night Fish is a thing here in WI, and you'll find a good one here, too. In the summer months, they offer live music on their rooftop. It is one of the best places to see live music on a hot summer night. (Usually twice a week in the Summer months - both an acoustc, and electric night.) One of the newest beers they're offering right now is a Spicy Chocolate Chestnut Stout. It does have a little bit of spicy heat on the back end (from the chilies), but not overwhelming. And when their triple IPA, called Trainwrecked, comes back, be sure to get it while you can - along with Quadnado. Solid, "regular", beers in rotation...Off The Rails (IPA), Dark Hondo (Porter), Towhead (Belgian Blonde), 2 Trainz (DIPA)...”

“Atmosphere and drinks were great. It was busy on the rooftop and the servers did great job trying to manage a large crowd. I’ve had food here before and it has been good each time. This time I got the “blackened shrimp” tacos. There was nothing blackened about it at all and it was little chunks of shrimp not even whole pieces. $16 for two really bad shrimp tacos and some chips on the side was very disappointing. I will go back but not ordering that again.”
