“Second time at Ella's for my family of four. We actually sat next to the last reviewer Karen Goggio at the bar. We overheard her speaking to the manager. That lady seemed off from the moment she walked in. We were discussing her off behavior, wondering if she was under the influence of something or if perhaps she had some sort of mental health issues. Anyways.... our experience was FANTASTIC!!! We all had mixed drinks, aside from one who had one of the many craft beers they had on tap. None of our drinks were short poured! They were perfect! Our bartender (don't remember her name)was very personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was ABSOUTELY INCREDIBLE!! We had Cauliflower wings, Cheese Curds, and Bang Pao Shrimp for our appetizers. One of us had the Walleye and the rest of us had the Cod fish fry. Everything came out piping hot and very yummy! Our first time at Ella's we came for the prime rib on a Saturday. Absolutely mouth watering! Their prime rib is one of the best around! Flavorful, and buttery! Ella's is a new favorite for us!”
“I was there tonight and it was delicious. I had Bang Pao Shrimp and Cheese Curds for appetizers the salad was fresh Ribeye with Horseradish sauce, loaded baked potato and asparagus. Wisco Old Fashioned. The one with a burnt cinnamon stick. Refreshing and flavorful. The service was prompt, considerate, and consistent. Definitely going back for more menu items.”
“This is a really nice place! I got my Sunday bloody and had their Sunday $1 wings special. I want to come back with a little group and sit in the fireplace area. McKenzie was super personable.”
“Ella's was near a friend's house so we decided to stop there for dinner. It's nice inside with ample room. Expansive drink menu with a good selection of bourbons. I got a Four Roses on the rocks. We got some cheese curds for an appetizer that was good. It a mix of white and yellow curds. I got a side salad and then the Tomahawk Chop, which is a bone in pork chop. There was an apple chutney on the chop, which was very good. It came with mashed potatoes and choice of vegetables, and I chose the asparagus. Overall, a positive experience. I really liked the old posters on the walls for Milwaukee beer companies. I will be back.”
“Went to Ellas for the first time this evening with my partner. Got right in and seated at a lovely table near the window and in view of the fireplace. Server was very prompt, friendly and attentive. Food presentation was great! We ordered the cauliflower wings app as well as the steak bites, and for entrees went for a porterhouse for them and fried chicken for myself. The apps and sides were fantastic! My wings were perfect and crunchy and the parm garlic sauce was lovely. Their steak bites were juicy and flavorful and the cornbread it came with was great as well. The tomato soup was also flavorful and clearly made fresh. The entrees were the only disappointment- his steak was rather bland aside from the horseradish sauce he ordered with it, and my fried chicken was overdone and extremely greasy. Our sides however were amazing! We both got garlic mash, which was creamy and flavorful, and I had the mac n cheese, which was rich and delicious. Overall, a good experience , and we were happy to have supported a local business.”
