“So glad Snelgrove is finally open in Bluffdale! The shop looks amazing—super clean and has that perfect nostalgic vibe. The ice cream is just as creamy as the original, and the staff was really friendly. Such a great addition to the neighborhood! 🍦✨”

“Ten outta 10. The only thing that could have been better is if they still had tableside guac. I had the very best chile rellano of my entire life here. Sooo ooey gooey cheesy and perfect breaded. The carnitas was so tender and crispy and the flan was just the right amount of sweet.”

“Sonora Grill continues to be one of my go-to spots. I’ve been here probably 20 times, and it’s a place I keep coming back to for good reason. The presentation of the food is always amazing, and they hands-down have the best salsa around. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m addicted to it — it’s honestly one of the main reasons we will continue to come back. The atmosphere is awesome and makes for a great dining experience whether you’re out with family or friends. The server was amazing, attentive, friendly, and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. This visit, I tried the chimichanga, and while it looked fantastic, it just wasn’t my favorite. For me, it had too much breading and not enough meat, which is why I’m giving the food four stars instead of five. That said, I’ve had many other dishes here that are excellent. The carne asada is amazing, the coconut rice is outstanding, and the carnitas are very good as well. Even when a dish doesn’t quite hit for me, Sonora Grill is still a place I enjoy and recommend. Between the service, atmosphere, and that salsa, I’ll absolutely be back.”

“I had an enjoyable lunch here today. Brooke was my waitress and she was great. I ordered the Guacamole and Chips appetizer ($14) and had them add salsa to it. I had the double lunch special of Cochinita Pibil ($10) with beans and rice. The Cochinita Pibil was fantastic! (5*) The pork chunks were very tender and the sauce was very delicious. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. I also really enjoyed the beans and rice (4*). The guacamole was very bland even with the salsa mixed in (2*). I had to add their smoked salsa and citrus salsa to put any life in the dish. I thought the atmosphere was very pleasant. There were a number of families and groups of adults in the restaurant with me. I really enjoyed my lunch and will come here again. (If you're a fan of guacamole, I highly recommend the guacamole fresca at Bella's Fresh Mexican restaurant in Farr West. It is outstanding.)”

“When I rate a restaurant, I judge the whole experience — the food, the vibes, and apparently now… the city’s sudden desire to turn every parking spot into a coin‑operated hostage situation. Thankfully, tonight the meters were feeling generous and let us park for free while they try to convince everyone to download their shiny new app. Small victories. Walking into the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised — not too crowded for a Saturday night, which immediately put me at ease. Then came the chips and salsa, and… well… let’s just say the salsa had an identity crisis. I’m not sure what flavor profile it was trying to achieve, but whatever it was, it missed the mark like a toddler throwing darts. If you go, I’d recommend skipping this menu item entirely and preserving your taste buds for better things. And thank goodness I did, because the main dish redeemed the night. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito — no salsa, obviously, because I learn from my mistakes — and this is where the restaurant finally stepped into its spotlight. The flavor was rich, the meat was cooked beautifully, and suddenly my rating started climbing like it had just remembered it had somewhere important to be.”
