“Wonderful late afternoon experience before a concert @ The Maroccan Lounge DTLA just a half a block away, between Little Tokyo & the Art-District, take the Metro or drive. It was last month but I just checked out the reviews and I must say, it was an experience, positive/topz. 👍 Stepping in the sign was a little confusing...." We like Old Fish?"/See the sign, in neon....I almost jumped a step back. Friendly service and assistance for a novelty market/wholesale/ sit-down bar, gift shop with thoughtful merchandise. Teas, the forgiveable T- shirts and Japanese packaged foods to go. A upgraded mini-market, coffee barista (nice to meet you)helped me, that part closed at 5 PM if I am correct after I had eaten and she suggested a sesame cookie that was out of this world along with the matcha latte. Sitting outside in the sun and breeze, a true experience. Box to go I ate at a table out side, great location and quiet except for the folks that picked up their orders and later customers at the sushi bar. Everything was(obviously) not fresh but perfect. A true experience and highly recommended. A fantastic memorable early supper for about $40.00. A bargain I thought for the food and the whole concept(and I am not big on concepts), 5 stars out of 5. Dare and go to 7th heaven, you won't regret it. An oasis from the hustle and bustle of DTLA and a Zen garden/Buddist temple across the street. Nirvana? A big yes.”

“Incredible quality seafood. Once you place the order, they start working on it and it can take a few minutes. I didn’t realize they accept orders ahead of time via email. I believe the cutoff time is 3 PM, however, try to place your order as early as you can to ensure same-day service. Their menu is always updated online to reflect current stock. They always offer to pack the order with ice if you have a bit of a drive which is greatly appreciated. Parking can be challenging, look for a meter or drive to the side streets. They also have a tiny coffee shop inside with really good cookies and you can also order hand rolls with their seafood. You have to allocate some serious time for that, each hand roll takes 10 to 15 minutes and are all served as they are prepared. This past weekend I got dry aged sea brim, pan fried it with blackened spice and it was absolutely amazing!”

“A very delicious lunch. I did the Xtra medium handroll set which included 6 pieces and the fish exceptional (though not all of the pairings were to my taste). Looking forward to returning for their new breakfast spread!”

“This is the kind of market food lovers dream about. Fresh fish, premium cuts, and caviar — and it all looks incredible. They literally have salmon sides hanging and aging in their fridges, and huge fresh tuna cuts that look sushi-grade. The whole setup feels very modern and urban — part gourmet seafood market, part sushi spot, part coffee shop/bakery. I grabbed an espresso and pastry while browsing and it made the whole experience even better. High quality, great vibe, and absolutely worth going out of your way for.”

“First time in LA, came here because it was one of the few local places with oysters. Oysters were delicious and very fresh. So happy to discover this place, the hand rolls were incredible especially tuna and salmon. Great service and kind staff. 11/10”
