“This place is a gem for sure. From the welcome when we walked in to service from Sophia with her beautiful spirit was so amazing. The food was a bit pricey but worth it. It’s so very delicious I woke up wanting more. I had Cajun grits and walleye special 🤤 seasoned to perfection. I love ginger beer I was so glad to see it on the menu. Ginger beer is way better than ginger ale. I’m so hook and I love the brands they serve. The Chefs are A+++++ in my book. I would recommend this to everyone the atmosphere is so relaxing. You made our night shine. Thanks to everyone at The Merchant Tavern”

“The Merchant Tavern had great food and service. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. We got a custom burger and goat cheese pasta. The fries were the perfect amount of crispiness. It was all very good.”

“Great place. Great atmosphere and decor. Food was very tasty From the pork chop to the salmon. The Cesar salad wasn't much different than what could be made at home. Very basic. The entrees and starters were very good. Great service as well.”

“I was a huge fan of this place until yesterday. I called the restaurant at 5:30pm to ask about an outside table for 2 so that I could bring my 86 year old dad to sit outside to eat. He is old and feeble and rarely gets to sit outside because of needing assistance to get to it. It was the 1 year anniversary of my mom’s death. I was told there was 3 available and I told them I was on my way and asked them to hold one. They said the couldn’t hold one but they were sure one would still available. Well 12 minutes later I get there and was told that all the two people tables were now taken and they were only sitting larger parties of 4 to 6 outside at that time. I would like to tell these compassionless people that they ruined the night of an 86 year old man because of refusing to sit us outside after I just called; I took him and left. Not sure I will ever go back. If you want a place with good customer service and people that actually have compassion and empathy for others; go somewhere else. These people have none; all they care about is profit. They demonstrated that last night.”
