“The pea casso is one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Food is creative and absolutely delightful. Service is even better! Andrew took great care of us. Will keep going back.”
“A bar with a small, well-curated menu and a clear point of view, blending thoughtful twists on classic drink directions with local Californian ingredients such as redwood. The drinks are precise and well executed. The Mai O Mai reimagines the Mai Tai with pistachio orgeat, agricole rum, and a coffee float, landing refined and rounded rather than punchy. The In the Pines sits in Manhattan territory and holds together better than its ingredient list might suggest. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Worth a visit if you appreciate ingredient-led cocktails with a considered angle.”
“5 Super vibey bar - perfect for dates imo. The drinks are interesting - they keep half their menu seasonal and constantly changing. That being said, while the drinks are good, Cold Drinks is prob still better in terms of nuance. This place is def more vibey than Cold Drinks tho - fun aura and is very lively (without being too loud to hear each other). Overall, excellent date spot and plenty of good bars around in case you need to wait. Definitely make a res on the weekend because you will wait for over an hour or not get in. Good set up for canoodling.”
“Stopped by here on a busy Sunday afternoon with four and a baby for brunch and we all had a great meal. Was able to get a table with no wait at all. The drinks we ordered were all tasty, especially the coffee with foam on top. The patty melt and egg/sausage sandwiches were amazing, really enjoyed the nice toasted bread both were on. We also really enjoyed the cornmeal pancakes topped with apples. I’m glad we stopped by for lunch here. Would love to come back soon.”
“Do not understand the hype. Service was abysmal. We were there at 9 on a Sunday. We ordered, were given our check (they close at 10) and had the check picked up before our drinks were even served. That is just tacky to the max. If you're trying to close, just don't seat us. That's totally fine, but to be more than happy to seat us and then pull this move is just off putting. Furthermore, the auto 20% on every tab just encourages this behavior. Would 0% recommend this place. On to the drinks. I get it, it was memorial Day weekend, but they were just straight up out of 3 of their 9 or so drinks (fine, not the best look but fine). The mai tai riff and the carajillo is what we ordered. It was average at best which for a cocktail bar that is meant to be inventive is just a death sentence. Long story short, this place was a total letdown in every aspect and is weirdly hyped up.”
