“We recently hosted a surprise 70th birthday party at Valenzano Winery with Summit Catering, and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic. From the planning stage through the event itself, everything was organized, professional, and stress-free. A huge thank you to Mary from Summit Catering, who went above and beyond to help make the celebration special. Her attention to detail and communication were outstanding. I'd also like to give a shout-out to Gabby, our wine tender for the event. She was friendly, attentive, and kept everyone happy with a smile all afternoon. Our guests loved her! The venue was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, my mother's surprise 70th birthday was a tremendous success, and we couldn't be more grateful to everyone involved. “I was there last Sunday. The place was hoppin'!!! The place was packed. Kudos to the staff for being so accomodating for that many people. While I was there a huge party came in. I thought they handled it well while more & more people came in. They handed out menus & got people there first glass of wine while they waited. I was very impressed on how they handled everything. The food was very good. I highly recomend the field green salad. It was delish!!!”

“We had a great experience at Valenzano. The space is beautiful and rustic. My favorite wines are the Petite Verdot and Chambourcin. The staff are fantastic. Jake is knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. Betty is warm and welcoming. We got the corn crab chowder and hummus platter, both were delicious. Can't wait to come back when the weather warms up and sit outside!”

“Valenzano Winery in Shamong, NJ is a family operated business, ran by the sweetest and most welcoming staff! I came on a cold winters day, so we obviously had to sit inside. Their tasting room is beautiful but super cozy. I immediately felt relaxed the second I walked in. The winery is surrounded by forest and farmland. A picturesque landscape to admire while you drink wine! We sampled a bunch of their wines, and I finally tried their famous Shamong Blush and I get the hype now. It was smooth, sweet and went down easily. I really also enjoyed the Shamong Red and the Perfect Pear! Highly recommend doing a flight to sample different types of wines. They do have food onsite which they get from Summit Catering — at the time of our visit (February 2025), we got the flatbread, cheeseboard, mac & cheese bites, and baked brie. Everything paired so well with the wine and just made it feel like a whole experience, not just a tasting. This is such a good spot to spend the day with your people. Date night, girls’ day, family time — you could easily hang here for hours like we did! And their event space is so pretty. If you’re planning a wedding, shower, birthday — this would be such a dreamy place to celebrate. If you need weekend plans, this is your sign. This was totally worth the hour drive!”

“Charming Experience at Valenzano Winery – Shamong, NJ We had a wonderful experience at Valenzano Winery! The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the wine — absolutely excellent. It’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy the moment. They also offer delicious food options that pair perfectly with their wines, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re a fan of white wine, I highly recommend trying their Riesling — crisp and refreshing. But our favorite of the day was definitely the Merlot — smooth, rich, and full of character. Valenzano Winery is now one of our go-to spots, and we’re already looking forward to coming back soon!”
