Yasma

“Wow, what a lovely dinner experience that was! My partner and I decided to try Yasma last night and it proved to be a great decision. We were greeted and served by Maryam who was really lovely. She's really friendly and helpful and was a big part of what made the experience so nice, as was the gentleman who brought us our beverages (don't know his name). I had the salmon kebab and my partner had the yogurt chicken, this after we devoured hummus and the fattoush salad. The hummus was fantastic as was the salad which was loaded with lovely, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers and other items in a divine dressing! We loved our entrees as well. For drinks, I had a mojito and my partner had an espresso martini. We then had wine with dinner. Everything was delicious, the place was busy and lively but not noisy. The music from the two musicians was really nice as well. We will definitely be back as this was a great experience! Thank you folks!”

“Had a wonderful dinner here on Sunday night. We were warmly greeted by the server and promptly seated, despite accidentally arriving early for our reservation. The food was top notch, showcasing the cuisine of the Levant (Syria and Lebanon). The flavours were amazing, and very unique compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants I have experienced in Vancouver. The highlight of the meal for me was the Muhammara, which was a blend of pomegranate molasses, tahini, sundried peppers, walnuts, and breadcrumbs. It sounded strange honestly, but I kept an open mind, and I was hooked from the first bite. The lamb sausage was delightful too, also with a very unique taste that you don’t often find in many restaurants. We had another yogurt/cashew dish which was wonderful too! The presentation of all dishes was on point, the dishes looked smart and elegant. Beautiful location too! Lively area being in the centre of Coal Harbour, but away from all the ugly traffic of Downtown, with live music featured while we ate, giving the restaurant a wonderful and peaceful vibe. I can see why this place has lasted for so long, unique and wonderful food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait to be back!”

“This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I must say, the food, service, and atmosphere truly impressed me. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the cozy ambiance makes you feel right at home. They offer authentic Middle Eastern dishes that will delight your taste buds—my favourite is the Baba Ghanoush. Parking options include both paid street parking and paid lot parking.”

“Very nice! Food was lovely, the staff were good. Lamb chops were the best, super tender! The only part to improve was the ambience. We were there at 4 pm, so I assume they were not really ready and fully opened yet. No music, a bit cold, and gradually as we’re eating they decided on the music after a few changes, and dimmed down the lights. The area stayed cold till the end though. Overall good experience, recommended and will come back.”
