Agni is a Seriously Fun Dining Restaurant Adventure by Chef Avishar Barua inspired by Columbus memories of global cuisine fueled by fire. Reservations for every month open on the 1st of the month prior (e.g. July books open on June 1st) at NOON (12PM) EST. Bookings unless specified otherwise are for The Midwest Nostalgia menu, a curated multicourse experience filled with pleasant surprises that is priced at $165 per person. Beverage selections, tax, and service fees are all separate. Special Events & Chef's Counter pricing may vary. We are happy to accommodate dietary needs and allergies! We are prepared to serve pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free menus every day. If you have an other allergy or restriction, please let us know at least 48 hours before your reservation to guarantee we will be able to serve you properly! Our restaurant is small but mighty; we ask that the whole party be present within 15 minutes of the reservation so we can accommodate every guest that dines with us! Tables are reserved for 3 hours to allow for a relaxed experience for all parties. “Fantastic meal for my birthday. Great service and nice atmosphere other than a little too dark to see the food. Portions were generous. Enjoyed everything except the dumpling which was not our favorite flavor profile. The courses were well thought out and fun. Would skip the cavier addition as it didn't add much flavor. The seafood boil, bbq , yogurt and banana flame were our favorite. Street parking.”
“Food was beyond excellent. This was honestly the best meal I've ever had, barely beating out The Refectory. The dishes were unique and some whimsical. Cocktails were top notch as well. The atmosphere is relaxed, not stuffy like many of these upscale places are. The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable, and inviting. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit loud, making it difficult to hear the servers and sommelier.”
“We had a great time here. The service was impeccable - very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They cared about the overall experience. The food was great and very unique. We attended during the Midwestern take on food and found all the courses to be both delicious and interesting. We did the wine pairing with the tasting menu and thought each wine also paired well with the food. I would highly recommend!”
“Wow. This may have been my favorite dining experience I've ever had. Like in my entire life. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. Not over crowded or loud. The service was beyond amazing. They ran us through every course and every glass of wine with enthusiasm and love for their craft. Were super friendly and attentive. Food.....I mean just look at the pictures. The limited vocabulary I have will not do this place justice trying to describe the meal I had. Absolutely astonished with some of the plates and flavors they created. Elevated but not pretentious. This whole experience was one I'll remember forever! Thank you for a one of a kind dinner. If you are even remotely considering coming here I absolutely implore you to do it. It's a decision you will enjoy and cherish for some time. What an amazing time we had and cheers to the chefs and staff!”
“We made a special trip to Columbus to dine at the Chef’s Counter this past weekend (11/21), and it was absolutely worth it! Just a heads up, the Chef’s Counter is literally INside the kitchen, it’s incredible. It felt intimate without ever feeling like we were in the way. Every single staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and clearly invested in making sure we had a great experience. The food was dynamic and full of flavor, serious techniques with a playful edge. The plating was beautifully executed and sometimes a little cheeky. All of the elements of a fine dining restaurant but with a more relaxed personality. The service was flawless, we never wanted for anything. You will leave absolutely stuffed and content. Overall, a true 10/10 and one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Bonus: I wish I could remember the name of the chef running the pass because listening to him absolutely crush it all service was a highlight of the evening!”
