“This is one of the well-known patisseries in the Mountain View area, and I stopped by this morning to grab a quick breakfast. The place was already bustling — full of people eating, chatting, and enjoying the cozy, welcoming space. It looked like a great spot to sit and spend some time, but I was in a hurry, so I ordered takeout instead. They have an overwhelming selection of baked goods — truly paradise if you love pastries. There’s also a solid coffee menu, though I skipped coffee this time. I picked up a barbecue pork croissant, and it was honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten recently. The pastry was perfectly flaky and crunchy, and the filling was a finely prepared, mildly spiced barbecue pork — not too spicy, but incredibly flavorful and well-balanced. I also tried a pastry called Harmony, made with high-quality chocolate. The sweetness was very restrained, allowing the chocolate flavor to really shine, with a pleasant crunchy layer inside. It felt like a proper indulgence. While I was waiting for my order, one of the bakers even offered me a macaron to taste , a raspberry or strawberry flavor , and it was excellent as well. They have so many other baked items that I’ll definitely be back, either for a proper brunch or to take home more pastries. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and love good bakeries.”
“After attending an event in Mountain View that finished around dinner time, I had some yummy Asian food then I thought to myself…time for dessert. I stopped into Alexander’s Patisserie. It was busy at 7pm on a Wednesday night! I perused the dessert case and spotted several desserts that sounded very interesting. These are pricey…sometimes one needs to splurge on something special - that’s my motto. I chose the Raspberry Blossom cake which sounded just right for the HOT weather outside. This dessert was a lovely shade of pink with a delicate flower decoration made of white chocolate on top. I was going to take the dessert to go, but I thought I’d better appreciate how pretty it looked and take a bite. Omg, this dessert is DELICIOUS. Bright, tart raspberry compote layer inside with layers of raspberry crémeux and mousse, feuilleté (flaky phyllo) and almond financier base which seems almost Graham cracker-like. This dessert for a berry-fan was perfection on this hot day! It was refreshing, not heavy and beautiful to see. The cashier/counter staff was patient. Very pleasant to interact with. The patisserie is open until 9pm most days. What a terrific way to finish out the day inside a charming café with lovely pastries and desserts! Def a place to stop into!”
“Lovely spot. Lots of delicious, unique pastries to choose from. We got breakfasts sandwiches that were also delicious, I had the salmon avocado toast and my husband had the ham and cheese croissant. He didnt love his coffee. I did like my matcha and the apple croissant. Friendly staff and nice seating area.”
“All the dessert are very elegant and made with great details. They're almost too pretty to eat and great for taking pictures. They are expensive - $15 each, definitely not cheap and overpriced, IMO. Got a box of half a dozen macaroons and they are very good. Also order a lavender-flavor tea. Both the lavender and tea flavor is very weak, almost tastes like water. The decor is nice and seating is comfortable. It's a great place tables for people to hang out. Some tables are not cleaned though. Wish the staff would clean the tables more regularly.”
“I'm a huge fan of Alexander's Steakhouse. It's hands down the best restaurant I've ever been to and eaten at. I've been going to Alexander's Patisserie for over a decade. Their desserts are very high-end and good. I haven't eaten any desserts from Alexander's Patisserie in years. After eating at Alexander's Steakhouse in Cupertino on Sunday, November 15, 2025, my wife and I decided to stop by Alexander's Patisserie and pick up some desserts. We ordered the bread pudding, pumpkin pie tart, apple pie tart and pecan pie tart. We were excited to try all 4 especially the 3 that were more geared towards the holidays. I'm sad to say that all of the desserts fell short! The best out of the 4 desserts we ordered was the bread pudding which was shocking to us! The bread pudding was basic and simple. The flavor was just okay. The pumpkin pie wasn't good at all and lacked the smooth velvety pumpkin flavor. The apple pie lacked the overall apple flavor and was the worst tasting of all 4 desserts. The pecan pie didn't taste like pecan pie at all. It flavor profile was way off. The texture or the 3 holiday focused desserts were way off as well. We were really disappointed because we remember the desserts at Alexander's Patisserie being top notch and tasting so good but this time around, this was not the case. I ended up paying close to $50 for all 4 desserts which wasn't worth it in my opinion. I have no issues paying a lot of money for high quality food but these desserts were neither high quality nor did they taste good in my opinion. The biggest issue was the fact that they nailed the presentation of the desserts but all of the desserts were underwhelming and didn't taste good enough for the price and for the calories. I don't recommend going to Alexander's Patisserie and I honestly don't see myself going back or giving the establishment a second chance. 😒”
