“Balam is a standout Latin American dining experience that blends bold flavors with refined execution. We were lucky to snag a table without a reservation, something that doesn’t usually happen here, as most guests recommend booking in advance to secure a spot. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, going out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. A thoughtful highlight was how they prepared a simple yet delicious dish for our little one, house-made pasta with squid ink and olive oil, which really showed their flexibility and care. The menu delivers across the board. The Salmon Anticucho was vibrant and perfectly cooked, the Peruvian bread fresh and satisfying, and the Tallarín de Mariscos rich with layered seafood flavors. The beef arepa was hearty and well-balanced, while the Nikkei Ceviche stood out with its bright, complex profile and elegant presentation. Each dish reflected a high level of finesse and authenticity. Desserts were equally impressive! The Amazon Tres Leches was indulgent yet balanced, and the Frambuesa dessert offered a refreshing, slightly tart finish to the meal. Overall, Balam combines outstanding service, creative cuisine, and polished execution, making it one of the most memorable dining experiences in Whistler.”

“The food was really yummy, especially the appetizer tacos! They had very interesting drink options, and they turned out to be pretty yummy and very pretty. Bach was our server and she was so nice and enthusiastic, and had great recommendations. Most of all, i liked the theme, decor, and atmosphere. The place is slightly overpriced, but not too bad once in a while. Unfortunately, we didn’t make a reservation and just walked in so only the patio was available, but would love to go again and try the seating inside.”

“Unique selection of tapas. Guacamole was excellent. Pork tacos were a generous portion. The prawns with the special sauce were very good. Honestly, the chicken bites were the best. The place has a lot of cool decor and fun seating. However, the tables are a little tight. They have a DJ after 10 o’clock on select nights. Our server was very nice. Cocktails were definitely unique. Very Instagram setting. Great for date night or girls night”
