“This is an extremely innovative winery that is the only winery making Texas wine aged with Texas White Oak. Tannat is the wine to try here, but the Picpoul is also outstanding. This is a bit of a drive from central Texas, but we'll worth the trip.”

“The minuite we walked in we were able to get a table and were greated with a tasting spash of wine right out of the container. They had a large variety of wine and bourbon. We did the Texas wine tasting, but they have options for 2 different bourbon tastings or a wine tasting of their California wines. They have a large selection of bottles to take home as well. They have some cocktails and coffee options as well. There are some charcuterie boards as the food option. Some indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating on a gorgeous patio.”

“We usually visit their booth on Market Days at the Pearl in SA TX . So we were excited to finally visit the family owned Bending Branch winery in Comfort Texas Founded in 2009. Known for Tannat-based red wines which are a smooth, full-bodied, robust red wine . We enjoyed a wine tasting , They also offer premium bourbon tastings. Nice outdoor patio & seating area. Live music every Saturday afternoon. Open noon to 6 p.m. daily. .”

“Very nice grounds. Liked several of the b p urb p ns and the one wine I tasted. They seem short staffed for all of the tastings they booked. Our waitress seemed rushed. Doctor Bob was kind enough to speak with our group. Overall, good experience. Don't expect a paper receipt. They have to "run upstairs"to get it.”

“Go to the tasting room in downtown Comfort instead! I literally went to both places the exact same day, with zero preparation or previous contact. Bending Branch is using Newsom fruit anyway, is what I found out. Might as well just go to the source, which is Newsom farms; right? Bending Branch is the kind of overdone example in vintners that fairly, turns the majority away from all things wine and spirits. The experience was grandiose, high priced, and fanciful methodologically (e.g. freeze processing) and lacking bed side manner. It’s as if it all was a product of the American Medical Association, which we all know is 51 parts for money and maybe somewhere in the lesser vessel of denomination for quality of life. A significant amount of time and money was laid out from this one visit here. And, many moons have been taken to reflect and sample the product made just by this vintner. During the visit, in a flourish of naivety, a note of thanks was left for the owner of this fine establishment, with less than 150 reviews as of this review posting, and even offered to connect botanically and scientifically to this high falutin’ venue. No one even sent a thank you email pitying the victim here. 😂. Note: this paragraph is on the reviewer for fault and mis-managing expectations. Pic is of spirits which was very high priced and pretty raw, broken cork ta’bout. This is an average three star experience but it’s definitely not bad!”
