Chehalem Estate Tasting Room

During the late 1990’s the property was converted to Pinot Noir grapes. In 1998, winemaker Patricia Green was recognized by Wine Spectator for producing Oregon’s first bottle of $100 Pinot Noir using Quail Hill fruit from this site. The Blakeslee’s acquired the 20-acre Estate in 2005. Their first vintage as a winery in 2006 was unintentional, and resulted from a trade with another winery of fruit for bottled wine. After 20 years, we are still producing award winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. We look forward to hosting you at the Estate.
“Very cool place to taste wine and listen to music. Relaxing while viewing the vineyard and listening to some good music. Great tasty bites to munch on too. I also discovered that the ex owner of 503 Uncorked works there and she is a real delight. Such a nice person. So it was all around a great experience. I'll be back.”
“I came with a group for the annual Easter event and I had such an amazing time! I find events at vineyards can be hit or miss, and this was a HIT! The view was absolutely stunning and a perfect backdrop on a clear sunny day. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and prompt with service. The owners have put in so much work to maintain and beautify this piece of land, I loved getting to kick my shoes off and enjoy the lush lawn. I also enjoyed their wines, the sparkling was my favorite, but the Chardonnay was also delightful and bright without an overbearing amount of oaky butteryness that I find in a lot of Chardonnays.”
“The views here are beautiful big open windows in the taste of room. You can see Mount Hood on a clear day or even a partially third day. The grounds are immaculate, and the staff has been fabulous. The wines are good though if you’re not a Pinot Norfen or a Chardonnay fan it’s pretty much all they have. With some very minor exceptions. But if those are your jam like they are mine, it’s the perfect place for you.”
“We decided to do a walk-in at Blakeslee Vineyard, and we didn't know quite what to expect. However, before we even stepped into their Tasting Room, we were in love! The east-facing slope setting, even on the cool and overcast day we were there, didn't detract from its natural beauty. Then, as we introduced ourselves to the delightful hostess, sommalier, manager, Jorgi, we became that much more impressed with our newest discovery. We had an opportunity to sample Blakeslee's two finest Pinot Noirs: the 2021 Estate Reserve, and the 2021 Reserve. Both extraordinary and fruit forward, but light as you would expect a Pinot to be. We both opted for their award-winning 2021 Estate Reserve, and after our first half glass, decided to take the bottle. Blakeslee is now in my "Vineyard Black Book" reserved only for my favorite wineries! Cheers!”
“Blakeslee Vineyard Estate is truly a gem in the Willamette Valley‼️ First class tasting room, service, and grounds. Impressive customer service and the best small batch wines available. My wife and I were able to taste the fabulous blueberries that were ripe and in season while we were there. In addition, we were blessed to meet and speak with the owners of this fabulous vineyard estate. They were kind, generous, and obviously passionate about what they do. Michele and I were truly blessed to encounter this wonderful couple and their staff (which we know they consider family) 🤗”
