At Booker, our purpose is simple: to thoughtfully farm and craft world class wines that leave a small footprint but make a big impact. Our 100 acre certified organic estate vineyard produces a myriad of different wines with an emphasis on Rhône varietals. In 2021, Booker opened a state-of-the-art visitor center on the estate with underground wine caves and an indoor-outdoor tasting lounge that flows into the vineyard environment. We look forward to welcoming you with a variety of new tasting experiences offered!
“Our favorite vineyard of the trip! Booker was breathtaking! The views, the space, the people, all top tier. Margarite (not sure on spelling:/) was incredible. She made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. We shared stories but she also gave us space to enjoy and talk. Highly recommend the terrace tasting. The wines were incredible. My only complaint is being from Utah and not being able to join the club, therefore missing out on some of the better wines available. I get the exclusivity and lure to join but maybe exceptions for those that can’t get wine shipped to their homes! I would’ve left with more bottles and a much heavier suitcase!”
“Truly lovely place with great people. Delicious wine. One thing to note, there is no food - at all. Like, not even a carrot. But well worth it.”
“Timing, as they say, is everything in life, & it really worked to our advantage, at this lovely vineyard. On 1/18/26, My partner & I rolled into Paso Robles at 2:30pm. I'd gotten my wires crossed in a text link, thinking we were gonna to meet our best friends, to taste wines at Booker Vineyards. Turns out, they wanted us to meet them at Taste Craft Eatery. When we tried to check in, at the host station, they politely told us there were no tasting slots available-the place was hopping! Fast forward to the next day, 1/19/26, our reserved wine tasting day at Booker Vineyards. My friend, whose a Booker Wine Club Member, had scheduled a tasting for us, at 11:30a.m. With bright blue skies, & feathery streaked clouds overhead, all 4 of us sauntered up the sloped walkway, to Booker Vineyards Tasting Area. Jonah, collected our friend's name & tasting time. We then followed Jonah to the top of the concrete walk, to the Terrace Level Tasting Room, with spectacular views of several steep rounded hills, covered in evenly-spaced rows of wine grape vines. Belts of green vegetation, spurred on by abundant early rains, grew between each row. The views from this spot were absolutely mind-blowing. I couldn't believe our luck, in that we were the only people wine tasting, in this private, open-air space, plus it had the best views, by far, of all the wine tasting areas. In a matter of minutes, Jonah became our best friend. He asked us where we lived, & this was the icebreaker, to open up the many stories that followed, rapid-fire, once the tastings of delicious Booker Wine started flowing. Jonah told us all about Booker Vineyards: The winery's origin, detailed knowledge about each wine, plus he shared some personal knowledge, about himself, all done with his youthful enthusiasm. It was easy to be sucked in, to his extreme love of wine. The most interesting part of the tasting, for me, was tasting Vertigo 2022, which was a dry year, vs Vertigo 2023, when there was lots of rain. Well, as it turned out, the guys in our group, loved the 2022, & the gals loved the 2023 best. Vertigo 2022, was my favorite wine, of the 4 Booker Wines, we tasted. After the tasting, Jonah took us on an amazing tour, through Booker's wine cave, which was so impressive. Their wine cave was far nicer, than a wine cave we'd visited, in Sonoma CA. The most fascinating feature here, was a private tasting room, The Cave Room, This unique room, had 2 plush couches, & stone table, centered in the middle of the room. The back wall of this intriguing room, had an open-faced view of the layered Limestone, which this cave was dug through. You could even see water trickling down the jagged stone face, in several places. Next was a super cool golf cart ride, across this vast wine estate, in which Jonah described which wine grapes were grown, in each area, plus he pointed out their oak tree forest, which was preserved, when they designed Booker Vineyards. He gave us so much knowledge, all while driving the golf cart. It was a once-in-a-lifetime wine tasting, & I want to personally thank Jonah, for this incredible experience, which all four of us wine tasters loved. It simply couldn't have been better, or more fun! I took home a bottle of Vertigo 2022, & I'll enjoy the heck out of it, the lucky day I uncork it. Bravo Jonah, & Booker Wines!”
“11.16.25. What an exceptional winery experience. The staff were knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their craft. The wine cave tour was fascinating and beautifully presented, and the wines themselves were truly outstanding. We’re delighted to have joined and look forward to enjoying many years of remarkable wines from this first-class winery. Bravo!”
“Booker Vineyard is a beautiful location and tasting room. It’s modern, elegant, and perfect for a group visiting Paso. Wine is subjective, but objectively Bookers wine is middle of the road. Not bad, not great - fine. For those with a designated driver, don’t bother getting a tasting (it wasn’t worth the value, in our opinion). If you’re looking for a beautiful spot to taste some wine, this is your spot. If you’re looking for quality wine, there are other great options in Paso.”
