“We went for a late lunch on 4th of July (normally it’s very busy so we were pleasantly surprised to be able to get seated right away). We were very impressed with the staff and the quality of the seafood. We will most definitely be back, though I will probably try something else for my main dish - I had the lemongrass shrimp tacos and while the quality was good, I could not taste any lemongrass or much of the other bold flavors listed. The lobster rolls that my partner had were fantastic though, and I would absolutely get the twice baked potatoes again.”
“We went here for a special occasion. Their treat was the best I've ever seen some provide. Being from "up north" I had to try the walleye. It was well prepared and presented. My wife also liked her crab cakes.”
“The food was fantastic—highly recommend the scallops! They were cooked perfectly, and we’ll definitely be returning just for them. The biscuits served before dinner were also delicious. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the overall atmosphere was great. The only downside was that the area near the front door was quite drafty. Adding heaters near the entrance would really help prevent cold air from flooding into the front of the restaurant and make an already wonderful experience even better.”
“Bristol Seafood Grill in Leawood, KS was the perfect choice for our special anniversary dinner. It had been over 20 years since our last visit, and I am happy to say it remains just as wonderful as we remembered. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated with a beautiful view of the giant fireplace. The upscale ambiance is warm, inviting, and cozy, making it perfect for celebrating a special occasion. The service is truly first class, elevated yet never stuffy in any way. Our waiter was fantastic and attentive throughout the evening. Every part of the meal was outstanding, from the delicious mocktail and classic Caesar salad to the steak and crab cake with incredible mashed potatoes. The Ahi tuna was cooked perfectly, and the asparagus risotto was full of flavor. The creme brulee was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. Thank you for such a memorable evening.”
“When my husband and I decided to run errands we knew we wanted Bristol for dinner. It’s been 2-3 years since we have come so we were excited. It started from the beginning, we ordered JUMBO crab cakes for our starter. My husband had a yuengling and I decided on pineapple martini. The rolls came and were delicious as usual. My martini tasted like water with a splash of pineapple flavoring with no alcohol. The crab cakes have shrunk tremendously, JUMBO is not a word to describe a large cookie scoop of crab cakes, but were delicious as they always have been. The lobster bisque had way too much Cajun seasoning you couldn’t enjoy the creaminess and that flavor stayed in the back of your mouth. Then dinner came. I had the salmon which was good, you can’t really screw up salmon. My husband has swordfish with lobster Mac (see pics). The swordfish was maybe 1/4 inch thick which is disappointing in itself. It looked more like a pork chop. It is a more meaty fish and you can’t get that taste from 1/4 inch. The lobster Mac was dry. Like it had been microwaved before being put in its little pot. I decided to order another pineapple martini hoping my first was just a one off bad one. Well, it wasn’t. They didn’t have enough martini glasses, she said they were all dirty, so it was served in maybe a margarita glass that looked more like it was for ice cream. It was just as watered down. The waitress shook it before she emptied it in my margarita glass and it didn’t even fill the glass, she shook every little bit she could out, I’m assuming that is where the watered down taste comes from. Over $200 for our meal, the waitress barely spoke, gave ZERO suggestions, the drinks were a 0 and the swordfish was less than desirable. I can think of other restaurants to spend that kind of money. Can’t wait for our annual anniversary dinner at Eddie V’s. Sadly we will not be going back to The Bristol.”
