Brown Palace Hotel and Spa

“Absolutely incredible stay. It was my birthday and they brought up a desert to the room. The staff in the restaurant at breckfast remembered us from our previous stay and stopped over to say hello and brought us Champaign at breakfast. The architecture is beautiful. Ship’s Tavern’s food was excellent. Just all around a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the team that made it great!”

“For the high price this hotel offers little in the way of service. No water bottles in room, no housekeeping service for multiple day stays unless you call each day to request it despite indicating I wanted it when I reserved, the horrible service at the main bar/restaurant with staff standing around instead of taking bar orders, the front desk staff who gave us two wrong rooms despite pre paying for a suite with city view, few products for sale in spa and no bags to put in a purchase. No actual soap in bathroom for spa tub or shower. I was so disappointed after paying over $1200 for two nights. Even the holiday inn provides free water. Few tv options. The only great thing was the room service food and the speed of delivery. This is a beautiful historic hotel but leaves so much to be desired for basic customer guest comfort or service. They have cut so many basic corners that I would never stay here again. Not luxury. Very basic.”

“We came for drinks, appetizers, and to enjoy the live piano. Unfortunately, the music was not played for most of the time we were there. The appetizers were disappointing, and both the appetizer and dessert menus were very limited. The drinks, however, were excellent. What really affected the experience was that vacuuming started around 6:20 while we were still seated, listening to the live piano, and finishing our time there. We don’t mind paying higher prices when the quality matches, but lately the quality seems to be going down while prices are going up. I’m sharing this to bring it to the attention of management—when people pay five-star prices, they expect a five-star experience. The building is a gorgeous historic building but has not been maintained as good as Broadmoor Hotel located in Colorado Springs! The furniture is very dirty and the bathroom as well!”

“When I showed up they told me I booked a room with two queens and I didn't. The Marriott app showed otherwise. They gave me a room with a king bed but I'm pretty sure it was a standard room and not the one I booked. The air conditioning doesn't work that well. Thankfully there is a fan and it wasn't extremely warm during my stay. They also start playing music at 7 am in the lobby that I could hear in my room while taking a shower. I've yet to receive any credit for nights stayed. 👎👎”

“My husband and I had the most amazing afternoon tea experience at the historic The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and full of charm every detail feels elegant and timeless. I also loved learning about the hotel’s incredible history, especially that The Beatles stayed there! The tea service was wonderful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff made the experience feel extra special. Such a cute and iconic hotel definitely a must-visit in Denver!
