Cafe Pamlico's mission is to provide a world class dining experience through exceptional food, an inspired wine and cocktail program, detail oriented service, and Southern hospitality. Our contemporary coastal cuisine is driven by locally sourced seafood, meats, and produce. The fish we serve each evening is frequently taken from the nets of friends that very morning. We are committed to supporting local Fisheries/Farmers and artisan food producers first, sustainable resources second, and organic third. Cafe Pamlico serves elegant gourmet dinners and fresh, vibrant breakfasts and brunches prepared by our world class chefs. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is often filled to capacity by reservation.
“We had a lovely time at Cafe Pamlico. The staff were wonderfully friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, great view and the food was DELICIOUS. Thanks to Logan, our waiter!”
“We enjoyed all the meals we had at the Pamlico Cafe during our trip to Buxton. The shrimp and grits, the cure and eggs Benedict were highlights of our breakfasts. Fresh and delicious ingredients in every dish! For dinner some of our favorites were the steak, muscles and the lobster bisque! The service was incredible too, everyone was so friendly and thoughtful, they really made us feel at home. You cannot beat the view from the dining room and one morning was warm enough to enjoy the outside patio to eat. We cannot wait to come back on our next trip to the Outer Banks!”
“We took a philosophy on this vacation to be in the moment. Last night, was one of those nights. We started driving south and looked up the best rated restaurants with a menu that looked great. It led us here. We had the scallop appetizer, a special, that was phenomenal. I had the fish special and my husband, the crab cake sandwich. Each delectable in their own right. The icing on the cake? An impromptu wedding on the dock. The bride/groom landed at the table across from us after the ceremony that we witnessed from a distance. The couple mentioned that they had been together for 20 years and the husband surprised his partner with a ceremony overlooking the sound. They were lovely and being able to witness their evening was magnificent. It was a wonderful meal and an even better atmosphere. We will be back.”
“This was my second time going out for date night dinner there. Ordered the Fresh Catch of the day and Roasted Lamb for our entrees, the Olives and Feta for appetizer, and both the Lemon & Raspberry sorbet for dessert. My man doesn't typically go for any sort of seafood at all and he absolutely loved the Fresh Catch along with the delicious sides. My Roasted Lamb was cooked to perfection and the pesto gnocchi that went with it was divine. I'm personally not an olive fan so the appetizer was bought more for my man, but the bread that came out with it was soo good. My man was very happy with the olives and feta. The lemon sorbet and the raspberry sorbet were definitely the best way to finish off the dinner even though we were both overstuffed. We finally got to go to breakfast as well and we both ordered The Cure which was so good and filling. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We very much plan on trying to hit it up for their lunch and brunch eventually too. Along with both breakfast and dinner the drinks we ordered were so flavorful and very good. I will note that we personally prefer to book reservations for meals that we plan on having there.”
“We came here for Easter brunch. They said they can squeeze us in because of a cancellation. When we got there, there were a lot of empty tables. We stood at the host stand 7 minutes before we were acknowledged. Waitress was very attentive which saved the score. The food was good but a little lacking in flavor. I’m also not a fan of eating with dogs. Someone’s dog was roaming around the tables. Couldn’t find a post on website about friendly dogs allowed. Must not be that noticeable. We arrived a few minutes early and was not acknowledged for 7 minutes.”
