Situated in the heart of Bromsgrove’s vibrant bar and foodie scene in Aston Fields, Canary & Kitchen is an intimate, creative restaurant offering a truly distinctive dining experience. Proud winners of the ‘Taste of Worcestershire’ Award at Visit Worcestershire’s Tourism Awards for two consecutive years (2024/25 and 2025/26), our small restaurant is designed for guests seeking something special. With just four tables, we provide a relaxed yet atmospheric setting for up to 8 guests per sitting. We offer four tables for two, alongside the option of a larger table for up to six guests. Exclusive hire of the restaurant is also available upon enquiry. Our food is ever-evolving, with set tasting menus that change every three months. Each dish is personally served and introduced at your table by owner and chef Mike. Due to the nature of our menu and kitchen, we are unable to accommodate dietary requirements or allergies. Guests with specific preferences are encouraged to follow our booking site and social channels for upcoming special menus, including occasional vegetarian evenings. Following his appearance on MasterChef UK, Mike launched his At-Home Private Dining service, which continues to run alongside the restaurant (please enquire about our At-Home Private Dining via our website www.canaryandkitchen.co.uk). At Canary & Kitchen, our aim is simple: to create a warm, nostalgic sense of hospitality, where every visit feels both personal and memorable. New for 2026 – Pre-Order Wine Selection (By the Bottle) To expand our wine offering while working within our limited space, we are introducing a pre-order wine service. A curated selection of exclusive wines will be available by pre-order only and must be selected at least 3 days prior to your reservation. This allows our local wine merchant to source each bottle specifically for your visit. Please note: Pre-order wines are not available for purchase in the restaurant Our on-site wine list remains separate and more limited Rosé by the bottle is available by pre-order only and will not be available on the night Wines can be selected during the booking process
“Loved it, loved it, loved it. Would recommend to anyone and everyone - the food, service, drinks were all brilliant. My partner and I had such a lovely evening - Mike was so attentive, welcomed us in like it was his own home (which is rare really) explained the dishes to us, all superb. I got to add a song to the playlist as it was a meal for my birthday which is a really nice touch. We will be back!”
“We visited here for my birthday meal in early February. What is there not to like? The 7 course sharing menu was amazing, each course a surprise and delicious. The atmosphere is spot on, very warm and welcoming and other guests and the hosts are easy to speak to. Service is spot on - really loved this intimate place and would definitely recommend.”
