Caroline Cellars is one of Niagara's best family owned and operated wineries. The Lakeit family – with a half-century of farming history behind them – opened Caroline Cellars in 2002. Focusing on fresh and approachable wines, the award-winning portfolio includes both white and red varietals, a small selection of fruit wine and critically acclaimed and awarded Icewine. The Farmhouse Café is open for lunch year-round and focuses on relaxed Wine Country fare. If you are booking a wine tasting and lunch, please be aware of the following timelines and book accordingly: Wine Tasting is a 30 minute experience, so you can book it 30 minutes prior to your lunch reservation. We have a 90 minute table limit for lunch, so if you are booking a wine tasting after lunch we recommend booking your tasting 1.25-1.5 hours after your lunch reservation (groups of 2-4 usually don't need a full 90 minutes for lunch, larger groups of 5-8 usually use the full 90 minutes at the table)

“I had the best host for our wine tasting experience, and for 5.00 per person... the price is just magnificent. And the best part the wines are affordable...meaning if u buy a bottle then the fee is waived. Not only that, the beauty and the history is just magnificent. And I'm loving the fact that you can dine there as well with an affordable menu and comfort food. The atmosphere is giving rustic wedding vibes, surrounded by grape orchards, with a natural love for nature beauty. Another bonus is they have affordable and eatable souvenirs at affordable prices, incase you need a special gift for somebody. Its a homely winery, and a comfortable sip of elegence. Had to post their rewards so you can see the proof why you should book or walk in for a wine experience.”

“Wine tastings are $5 and the fee is waived if you buy a bottle! At that price my father in law thought it wouldn't be very impressive, but we shared 4 samples each and were blown away with the flavour and quality. We ended up buying two bottles each and staying for lunch - delicious fresh food to boot!”

“We came for lunch and stayed for the wine. Both were fantastic! The food was soooo good and super reasonable. The service was fast and food came out quickly. Atmosphere was quaint and it looked like a place locals go as some of the customers knew each other. After lunch, we did the wine tasting. Rhonda was so awesome. She explained how the owner refuses to increase prices on the wine because that’s not why he’s doing this. ❤️ I thought the prices were per glass. It’s per bottle! Crazy! Thank you so much!!! You won’t find this wine anywhere else because they only sell the wine to the restaurant on site and nowhere else. You can only find these beautiful wines from the property, which makes it even that much more special!”

“This was our first time at the Caroline Cellars restaurant, and we really liked it. The restaurant was very busy, so we had to make a reservation two days in advance. Everything we tried was very tasty, but the highlights were the shrimp tacos and the trout—both were absolutely amazing. We also enjoyed the wine; they had a good selection of wines by the glass, and the ones we chose were excellent. The service was good, the prices reasonable, and we will certainly be back next time we’re in NOTL.”
