Our host Sheryl was outstanding — knowledgeable, engaging, and provided a thorough walkthrough of the Wagner family history and the heritage behind Caymus Vineyards. Her presentation added significant depth and context to the tasting experience. “We had an absolutely AMAZING experience at Caymus Winery! We arrived early and Eddie worked to squeeze us into an earlier opening. Jeremy was our host. He did an awesome job telling us about the different grapes, the growing and wine making process, barrel types and so much more! He had a deep understanding of the chemistry behind the wines and was able to explain the nuances of one wine to another. The grounds were beautiful and we were treated very kindly. This was the 7th and last winery that we visited on our trip to California. The wines here were the best of any winery that we had previously been to and hold up to the prestigious Caymus name. An absolutely wonderful experience- highly recommend; very happy with our wine tasting experience and purchase! Hope to return!”

“This place is absolutely beautiful! Caymus has always been one of my favorite wines so I had to visit while I was here in Napa and I was not disappointed. Another nice touch is that you can stop in and buy wine by the glass without a reservation! The grounds are beautiful and all the staff is super friendly and of course their wines are some of the best in my opinion.”

“An absolute gem of a winery—graceful, inviting, and memorable in all the right ways. Our group—six adults and one very content 10-month-old (we called ahead to be sure he was welcome)—settled in effortlessly and were rewarded with an experience that felt both relaxed and refined. We chose the veranda, where the view opened onto a lush garden alive with movement. Between sips, we caught glimpses of hummingbirds darting like jewels, butterflies drifting lazily, and even the occasional chipmunk making a curious appearance. Our hostess guided us through the $50 tasting with warmth and expertise, bringing each of the five wines to life with just the right balance of knowledge and ease. Every pour impressed—distinct, expressive, and genuinely enjoyable. And the thoughtful touch of applying the tasting fee toward bottle purchases? That sealed the deal. Each couple left with at least two bottles in hand—a testament to both the quality of the wine and the smart, guest-friendly approach. Inside, a wall of glass reveals rows upon rows of barrels stretching into the distance, a quiet reminder of the craftsmanship behind every glass. You can wander through this space via the gift shop, adding another layer to the experience. A place that manages to feel both elevated and welcoming—I’d return without hesitation.”

“We absolutely love this winery and of course their wine. The atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing and everyone is so welcoming. Dylan greeted us at the bar and was a joy to talk to. He told us all about their other winery in Suisun and can’t sit to try it. We met john in the wine store near the stunning barrel room.
