“Wife and I met two friends for Sunday brunch. Great restaurant! We had Fried Brussels Sprouts - the hot honey and prickled cranberry made this dish really interesting on the taste buds! We also tried the buttermilk friend chicken sandwich which was decent. For large plates and sharing, we tried Falafel and Brioche French Toast! Wife absolutely loved the French toast and the fatales were yummm! The toasted pita was a favorite of the table and the turmeric pickled onions, tzatziki and hummus were wiped clean! We also had Lemon & Leaf, Mimosa, Diet Coke and a Blueberry Lemonade! Our patron was a little pushy on us wrapping up even though there were so many tables that were empty; but overall, great place and worth returning to! Thanks for having us!”
“Brunch at Lola’s Garden in Ardmore. We started with their apple beignets - round and crispy on the outside, moist and doughy on the inside with a slight apple cinnamon vibe - snowy powdered sugar on top. Served with berry jam and lemon curd for dipping. Pretty dang good for a place 1200 miles from Bourbon Street. My lovely dining companion had the smoked salmon avocado toast with a sunny egg on top, fluffy spring mix salad on the side. She’d”s had it before and loves the dish. The salad not so much. I had the Benny. Classic setup but with smoked salmon replacing the Canadian bacon. 10/10 but not gonna lie, the breakfast potatoes were SLAMMIN. My guess is that they’re roasted or blanched then hard fried and salted. Extreme crunch, savory, steamy and fluffy on the inside. Give them a try!”
“It was pretty good. A group of us had a networking brunch meet up there. I had the Apple French Toast with a side of eggs and turkey bacon. It was a BIG slice of French toast covered fully with small apples chunks. I really enjoyed it. No syrup was needed. The eggs were fine. Tne turkey bacon was the same kind i can get from the grocery store. But, it wasn't over cooked. The waiter my table had wasn't that great. When it came time for party of 9 to get separate checks he was on point. I would definitely go back for more than brunch.”
“1st time here. My daughter picked this place to come for her birthday. Mike was our server he was great. The place became very crowded and they didn't have that many servers but Mike was great. My daughter had the rigatoni with sausage for her dinner. She didn't like it. They had a homemade fresh sauce and it didn't have enough flavor for her. My husband had the Amish chicken it was juicy and good. I had the steak fritts. I asked for it medium well and it came back medium rare. My husband had more of my steak than I did. For dessert we had the mouse and peaches and creme. The area is cute. We would go back again.”
“The food just wasn’t that good. It was probably the worst brunch I’ve had in the 5 years I’ve lived in the Philly area. No coffee offerings except for drip. No black teas except for decaf. Moms had strollers littering the walkways, obstructing even the servers that were working. The ambience was loud. Our table was a tall two top by an indoor tree. There’s room for an indoor tree but not one for our small bags. Service was slow. Layout was crowded. There are many better choices. Even chain restaurants have better options. One good note- Our server was nice and helpful when she did pop by. I won’t be going again and I don’t recommend that you go either.”
