“It’s so difficult to find completely gluten free eats. My celiac is so severe that it makes eating out virtually impossible. Everything was perfect. The mushroom pizza was genuinely fantastic, rich and comforting without feeling “like the gluten-free version” of something. The dolmas were wonderful, fresh and flavorful, and my boyfriend loved his meal too, he’s actually lactose intolerant, so it was great that he was able to get a slice of cheesecake that was completely vegan and gluten-free. But honestly, beyond the food itself, I’m just deeply grateful this restaurant exists at all. There’s something emotional about being able to relax and enjoy food without fear, especially when so many people with celiac disease or severe intolerance know the exhaustion of constantly asking questions, worrying about cross contamination, or settling for sad substitute meals. Mediterraneana felt like a place where we could simply enjoy eating again. Thank you for creating a space where gluten-free people can experience real joy around food. We’ll absolutely be back. 🤍”

“We were in Atlanta for a couple of days and are always on the lookout for dedicated gluten free places to eat as my daughter has coeliacs disease. We came across Mediterranea Restaurant & Bakery and were very pleased with the experience. We arrived for a late lunch on Sunday. We were greeted as we walked in and made our usual inquiries as to cross contamination and were assured that they were dedicated gluten free. We went over the menu and inquired about potentially getting pie for dessert. This was important and one of the main reasons for going there as the day before was March 14 otherwise know as Pi day (3.14) and we had seen pictures of some of their pies. Unfortunately, they told us that normally pies are Special Orders and when we looked at the menu online, sure enough that is what it says. We ordered sandwiches, appetizers and coffee. They all tasted great. During our meal, the hostess had apparently went back and talked to the owner about our request for pie and our reasoning, besides just wanting a good dessert. The owner had just baked a pecan pie for pickup later that day and told him that we could have as much as we wanted from this pie (he would bake another one). Great customer service and made our day. My daughter made the unsolicited comment that she would definitely come back to eat at the restaurant!”

“My wife has celiac she was really happy to go to a place where she didn't have to ask any questions about the menu. 100% gluten-free. Good food too and I eat wheat. But it didn't bother me at all It tasted really good.”

“I have celiac disease and came for dinner with a friend. We had a wonderful meal and were so happy to find out the whole menu is gluten free!! Highly recommend the focaccia bread!! 10/10 will be returning”

“It’s overrated like many places in Atlanta. Great street parking though. Umm but I wasn’t impressed. The menu is very limited. Food lacks diversity along with the clientele. I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes it was meh. The brussel sprouts overpriced and meh. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes came with no vegetables. They had some chocolate mousse thing for dessert in a cup that was gross. I wouldn’t go back only went because my friend has dietary restrictions and I wanted her to be able to eat something that wouldn’t make her sick. The food also took a really long time to come out as well. I wouldn’t go back.”
