“Needed a nice chill spot for Dinner and we settled on Thai food. Was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and great cocktails. We ordered small plates including Roti and curry, lychee duck, shrimp dumplings, crab fried rice and chicken wings. Everything was super tasty. James was our service and he gave stellar service. Definitely made our evening a delight and its worth coming back.”
“Ploy was our server, and we couldn't have been more delighted with her attention and assistance with menu items. She was delightful to work with. The food was authentic, amazing and delicious. I loved that gluten free items were clearly marked and plentiful. I chose the Pad Thai, which was delicious as well as the Thai Sweet Tea and Thai Sweet Creme Brulee. All in all it was a lovely, relaxing lunch in beautiful surroundings. The restaurant was a little difficult to find as it is not visible from the parking lot, but well worth the trouble. It is paid parking, but there is a voucher you can use in the restaurant which reduced the fee to only $2. There is a walkway next to the ice cream shop and you go through there to find the restaurant.”
“If you are looking for good Thai food in the city, make sure you go try out Paya. It is a beautiful place with great ambiance. It is spacious, light and airy. They have an inside and outside setting area. If you sit outside, you will hear birds chirping and the train passing by. The food was delicious. We had the shrimp panang, the rib-eye skewers, and the beef pad see ew. My only complaint is the portion as compared to other Thai places I have been to are smaller. Other than that, everything was good. The service was good. The server were attentive and friendly. Definitely go check them out if you are looking for good food and ambiance.”
“Absolutely loved my experience at Paya Thai Kitchen. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was warm, attentive, and happy to accommodate dietary preferences, which I really appreciated. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, definitely a place I’d come back to. Highly recommend!””
“My husband and I visited Paya Thai Kitchen for a lunch date. We both love Thai food and enjoy trying different restaurants, so we were excited to try this spot. I gave this restaurant 1 star due to the lack of service from the manager after we found a hair in our food. However, this rating does not reflect the host or our server, as both provided excellent service. It was a beautiful day, perfect for outdoor seating, which is what we chose. From the moment we arrived, the host greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile and seated us promptly. Our server, Korsa (I hope I am spelling his name correctly), was very outgoing and made our visit enjoyable throughout. We started with papaya salad, which is one of my all-time favorites and something I often compare across Thai restaurants. We also ordered Nam Tok beef salad. Both appetizers were fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. For our main dishes, I ordered Pad Kee Mao with chicken. The flavor was good overall, but even though I requested Thai-hot, it came out more mild. That wasn’t a big issue. However, the portion of chicken was very minimal—I had to really search for pieces, which was disappointing as it felt more like plain noodles and vegetables. My husband was recommended the brown butter old fashioned, which he ordered. When it arrived, the pour was noticeably small. While the large ice cube may create the illusion of a fuller drink, there was very little liquid—he only got a few sips out of it. Compared to other tables, the drinks appeared to be more generously poured, which stood out to us. My husband ordered the Pad Cha Bronzino. The presentation was beautiful, and the broth was flavorful. However, while eating, I found a piece of hair on the fish. We brought it to the attention of the manager. Unfortunately, the manager’s response was disappointing and dismissive. He was not friendly or welcoming, did not offer an apology, and simply instructed our server to remove the dish before walking away without addressing the issue. He did not check on us afterward and continued walking past our table multiple times without acknowledging us, while engaging more with other tables. Overall, we truly enjoyed the food quality and especially appreciated the host and our server. However, the handling of the situation by the manager left a very negative impression. The restaurant has potential, and we would consider returning, but the management experience would need significant improvement.”
