“5 hours short rib with green curry is the best out of all the dishes. Chicken Satay is moisture and tasty. The Thai Dumplings is a little bit too plain. Drunken noodle is a little bit too salty too me but perfect for my partner. The service is very good. Alex is very nice and took very good care of us. He brought me none sweet tea to mix my Thai tea so it won’t taste too sweet to me. Recommend this place. 👍 you can‘t”
“great thai spot! been here twice now and have loveee their drunken noodles, khao soi, and basil tofu. all their dishes are very flavorful and reasonably priced compared to other locations near midtown. ambiance is very nice but can be loud inside because I noticed their outdoor patio opened and once it warms up that will be a nice change (assuming the noise from the street isn’t too loud). server was very sweet both times we went as well! only complaint is that our food took a very long time on our recent visit, other than that it was very positive! I hope they add a pumpkin curry to the menu, since that’s one of my favorite dishes!”
“Really enjoyed my food here on a work trip. I'm coming back to Midtown in a month...will definitely return for dinner! Came in at about 7pm on a Tuesday. Restaurant was on the busy side, but not packed, and I got a table right away close to the bar. Bartender was my server....he was really nice, made good suggestions, and was very attentive to refills and dirty plates, but not in an overbearing way. Very good service. I ordered edemame (no salt), papaya salad, pad Thai with (crispy) tofu, and the mango ice cream for dessert. Edemame was good - little mushy, and they missed the no salt request, but it wasn't drowning in it, so I dealt. Papaya salad was very tasty. I've had some before that are just drowning in liquid, but this one was light and fresh. Pad Thai was also good. As others have mentioned, it's on the slightly sweet side - that's not a bad thing, just different than others I've had. I wish it would have had more peanut and egg: it was presented well and had a good amount of tofu. For dessert, I settled for the mango ice cream. I say settled, because I was very excited to get the mango sticky rice, but they were out the night I went! So, that said, the ice cream was very good for what it was. Overall, very pleased with my dinner experience at 26 Thai. It'll be good to come back next time I'm in town.”
“We love coming here! The food never disappoints! WE ordered Khao soi (with chicken& shrimp), calamari and tofu and they were all amazing!! Alex B was our server... She was very attentive and sweet. Can't wait to come here again!”
“I had a really nice experience at Twenty Six Thai. The restaurant itself is beautiful, warm lighting, stylish decor, and a cozy upscale atmosphere without feeling stuffy. The presentation of the food and drinks immediately stood out. Everything looked thoughtfully prepared and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. We started with the crispy spring rolls and soup. The soup was flavorful, rich, and comforting with fresh mushrooms and a great balance of seasoning. The spring rolls came out hot and crispy with a good crunch and flavorful filling. I also ordered shrimp that was advertised as chargrilled. The flavor was still good, but my only complaint is that the shrimp did not actually have the chargrilled marks or smoky grilled finish I expected based on the menu description. It was not bad at all, just a little disappointing because I specifically chose it expecting that grilled texture and flavor. What really made the experience stand out was our server, Gus. He was professional, attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal without hovering. Great customer service honestly makes a huge difference, and Gus did an excellent job. The cocktails were also very well made and the atmosphere made this feel like a great place for date night, girls night, or just a relaxing dinner. Overall, I would definitely come back and try more items on the menu. One small issue with the shrimp presentation, but everything else from the ambiance to the service was a strong experience.”
