Rocca Pizzeria is a Pizza restaurant in the Capital Heights neighborhood of Baton Rouge.
“Rocca Pizzeria is truly a little piece of Italy in Baton Rouge. The pizzas are amazing, with perfect dough, flavorful tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella. The service is always very polite, attentive, and impeccable. I do recommend making a reservation, especially in the evening, because it can get very busy. They also have a great happy hour from 2 PM to 6 PM with several specials, including pizza deals, which is a great opportunity to try different options. I highly recommend Rocca Pizzeria!”
“Delicious! And AWESOME vibe. Definitely get that garlic knots with whipped provolone! And the chicken parm has great flavor and pizzas are phenomenal!”
“I had the chimichurri garlic smoked wings. The wings themselves had great flavor but if I had know they finished with parmesan I would have asked them to skip that, it was too much for me (honestly, any parmesan is too much for me). But the wings were well prepared. No complaints at all about the pizza. It was well prepared and plenty of toppings. Beer selection wasn't huge but was of a nice variety. Several of the desserts sounded amazing but I was already very full.”
“Not as good as I remember, but still one of the best restaurants on Government. The whipped provolone cheese and garlic knots are a must try, the black skillet mushrooms are rich and delicious, and the salted caramel Gelato, and biscoff dark chocolate pudding, are in a class all their own. No need in saying anything further, give them a try if you're in the area.”
“I've eaten here twice. The first time my pizza was soggy and greasy, but edible. The second time all 3 pizzas at our table came out heavily charred. I usually don't mind crispy or slightly overcooked pizzas, but these were very burned. When we spoke to the manager he seemed young, awkward, and unsure of how to run a restaurant. He made a joke about how we wouldn't be needing go-boxes, made some weird excuse about how sometimes the oven is too hot, never apologized, but did give us a small discount. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I won't be coming back.”
